    摘要: A multi purpose switching circuit is provided. The multi purpose switching circuit is connected with a main unit (60) of an electronic apparatus and includes a multi purpose switch (10). The multi purpose switch is capable of receiving multiple manual operational inputs and accordingly producing multiple command signals. The multiple manual operational inputs are identified by a pushing time and a pushing count in a predetermined time of the multi purpose switch. The multiple command signals initiate the main unit to implement multiple functions such as starting up, shutting down and resetting itself. An electronic device including such a multi purpose switching circuit is also provided.

    摘要: The present invention provides a charging mode control circuit and method. By utilizing such charging mode control circuit and method, a secondary battery fixed in a portable device can be quickly charged when the portable device communicate with an external computer. The method includes the steps of: a) providing a commutator, the commutator comprising an adaptor, a first interface, and a second interface, wherein the first interface is connected to the external computer and the second interface is connected to the portable device; b) filtering a charging voltage from the adaptor and obtaining a ripple voltage from the charging power supply; c) rectifying the ripple voltage; d) comparing the rectified ripple voltage with a reference voltage, thereby producing a voltage waveform signal according to a comparison result; and e) selecting a fast charging mode for the secondary battery according to the voltage waveform signal.

    摘要: A charging mode control circuit (320) includes a detecting circuit (321) and a charging control circuit (322). The detecting circuit detects whether a power/data interface (310) is in a communication state, and accordingly outputting a control signal. The charging control circuit receives the control signal and obtaining power from the power/data interface to charge a secondary battery (330) with a charging mode in accordance with the control signal. The charging mode is a fast charging mode with a charging current larger than a predetermined level, or a slow charging mode with a charging current not larger than the predetermined level. A portable electronic device (30) incorporates the charging mode control circuit is also provided.

    摘要: An electronic paper device is provided. The electronic paper device includes a conductive layer, a number of pixel electrodes, an electrophoretic ink layer, a common electrode layer, a voltage detection unit, and a processing unit. Each pixel electrode corresponds to a coordinate of a coordinate system. The electrophoretic ink layer is electrically connected between the number of pixel electrodes and the common electrode layer. The conductive layer and the common electrode layer have a different voltage when the electronic paper device is powered on. When the user touches the electronic paper device and causes the conductive layers to contact a pixel electrode corresponding to the touch position, the pixel electrode obtains the voltage of the conductive layer and an electric field is form between the pixel electrode and the common electrode layer. This causes the color to change at the position that is corresponding to the touched position.
