Abstract:
Various embodiments are disclosed concerning games that use both 2D and 3D play areas. Various embodiments concern representing a 3D structure composed of a plurality of 3D shapes having a plurality of faces, presenting a plurality of elements, marking the plurality of faces and the elements, identifying a first set of one or more combinations of corresponding markings, moving the shapes of the three dimensional structure relative to the elements, and identifying a second set of one or more combinations of corresponding markings, each of the combinations of corresponding markings from the first set and the second set composed of markings from at least one of the elements and multiple faces of the shapes.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for utilizing progressing multipliers in gaming devices. Accordingly, a gaming device can be configured to increment a game multiplier for a next gaming event based on incrementing conditions received during a current gaming event. The game multiplier is also decremented according to decrementing conditions resulting in a game multiplier that can progress upwards or downwards between gaming events played on the gaming device.
Abstract:
A system and method for allowing gaming device participants to effect trades of player assets for gaming bonus events or to trade awarded participation in a bonus event for a credit award. A player engages in play of a gaming activity, such as a slot game, which includes a standard mode of play and a bonus mode of play. Player assets are traded for participation in a bonus event associated with the bonus mode. In other aspects, participation in a bonus event awarded during a standard mode of play may be traded for a mystery credit value.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for use in gaming activities such as slot machine. A plurality of symbols is presented in connection with a gaming activity. At least one multi-characteristic symbol capable of exhibiting a plurality of different gaming characteristics is also presented. A first gaming characteristic is attributed to the multi-characteristic symbol during play of the gaming activity. The multi-characteristic symbol's first gaming characteristic is replaced with a second gaming characteristic if none of the remaining plurality of symbols exhibit the second gaming characteristic.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for use in gaming activities, such as in a slot machine. A first grid comprising a plurality of elements overlayed a second grid comprising a plurality of elements is presented. At least some of the elements of the first grid and the second grid are marked. Marked elements of first grid are then used to form a subportion, the subportion boundary enclosing an area and having a correspondingly marked element of the first grid at each corner. Payouts are issued for marked elements and element combinations of the second grid within the subportion. The payouts may be administered according to a pay table.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses, and methods for involve or otherwise facilitate a multiple symbol replacement process. Accordingly, a gaming device includes a display having a first game grid and a second game grid, and can be configured to replace at least two symbols in the second game grid, with each of the replaced symbols being in separate game reels that form columns in the second grid, when a predetermined symbol appears in the first game grid as part of a determined game outcome. Alternatively, the gaming device may be configured to replace symbols in the second game grid when a predetermined symbol appears in the first game grid, and replace symbols in the first game grid when a predetermined symbol appears in the second game grid.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for implementing a dice game having a re-roll feature on a gaming device. Accordingly, a gaming device can be configured to roll multiple virtual dice on a game display and determine if the result of the dice roll satisfies a predefined criterion. When the result of the initial dice roll satisfies the predefined criterion, one or more of the multiple virtual dice is re-rolled. The gaming device then evaluates a game result after the re-roll, where the combination of the displayed faces from any initially rolled dice that were not re-rolled and the displayed faces from the re-rolled dice are used in the evaluation.

Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for providing mutable awards in gaming devices. Accordingly, a gaming device can be configured to include processes where various properties, functions, characteristics, displays, or other award components have some dynamic variability between game play events on a gaming system or within a gaming device. Although not all, or even one, of the award components needs to be changed or mutated between game play events, the processes are configured to allow such award components to be changed or mutated within a predefined time frame, within a defined game event, or within another measurable criterion.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention set forth systems, apparatuses and methods for implementation of multi-reel symbols in gaming devices. Accordingly, a gaming device can be configured to receive a game initiation signal and determine reels associated with a multi-reel symbol. This configuration includes initializing the multi-reel symbol within the reels or otherwise initializing game elements associated with a multi-reel symbol. A game outcome is then determined incorporating the initialized multi-reel symbol or game elements. This game outcome is displayed to a player via a display associated with the gaming device, and awards associated with the game outcome are provided.
