摘要:
There is disclosed a polygon mirror motor in which an annular projection is formed on an upper surface of a rotor support member supporting a polygon mirror, and the annular projection supports a part of a lower surface of the polygon mirror. Radial bearings supporting a shaft of the motor have a plurality of oil grooves extending over about a half of the dimension of the radial bearing in a thrust direction. A magnetic fluid is filled in a space defined by the shaft, a support tube of a bearing support member and the radial bearings.

A thrust bearing including a ring-like form plate body, and a plurality of rib members provided on the ring-like form plate body of the thrust bearing. Such a plurality of rib members may be provided on a thrust runner. The rib members cause a difference in load deformation amount in a circumferential direction according to thrust load and generate a wedge-shaped form clearance between a sliding face of the thrust bearing and a sliding face of the thrust runner. Since the wedge-shaped form clearance is formed by utilizing the load deformation, even when the thrust load becomes large, the wedge-shaped form clearance does not become narrow. The occurrence of dynamic pressure by the wedge effect and the formation of a water film can be assured, and the temperature increase between the sliding face of the thrust runner and the sliding face of the thrust bearing can be restrained.

A rotary anode X-ray tube accommodated in a housing together with oil has a journal box fixed and inwardly extending inside the tube, an anode target fixed to a rotor supported by the journal box and a cathode member opposing the anode target and fixed at an end portion inside the tube opposing the journal box. The fixing portion between the rotary anode X-ray tube and the journal box is supported by a resilient support member on the housing and vibration damping means is disposed on the support member. The vibration damping means includes a moving member fixed at its center and a fixed member fixed to the housing so as to encompass the moving member with a predetermined gap, and oil is fully charged in the gap. Vibration of the rotation system is transmitted to the moving member and the operation of this member damps the vibration by means of the squeeze action of the oil.
