摘要： A switch with a cantilevered leaf spring as the movable bi-metal contact lever can be switched "ON" or "OFF" by a rocker pivoted in the housing. No lost motion plunger is required and no centor terminal is provided in the housing bottom wall. The contact lever also has a temperature sensitive shape so it will bend upwardly toward the rocker to open the switch contacts in response to an overcurrent condition. The rocker is returned to "OFF" by such a shape change in the bi-metal contact lever.

摘要： In a single housing that looks like a standard rocker switch a thermally responsive movable contact element is mechanically opened by the rocker in a "switch" mode, or opened in response to an overcurrent condition in a circuit protection mode. Both conditions result in a trip flag being moved between the movable and a fixed contact. The trip flag rests lightly on the movable contact when the device is ON and during reset motion the trip flag is so mounted in the switch case that it reaches such a reset position only after the movable contact has returned to its ON or closed condition. The rocker has skirts that define cam teeth cooperable with cam teeth on the trip flag. The housing defines slots for receiving projecting portions of the trip flag to define a movable pivot for the trip flag to so reduce the forces and/or moments of the trip flag as it "rests" on the movable contact.

摘要： A miniature rotary switch has nested terminals in its bottom wall and a spherical shaped movable contact arranged in a rotatable control member such that a lower portion of the ball rides over upwardly projecting portions of a common contact ring that is nested in the lower portion of a cavity defined in the switch housing or body portion. One of the terminals is staked to the contact ring to provide an OFF position while the other circumaxially spaced positions are defined by U-shaped cut outs in the contact ring that cause the ball to seat between the edges of each U-shaped cut out and the upper end of a fixed contact terminal provided in the semi-circular cut-out area defined by the common contact ring. The ring is so formed that the ball is releasably retained in each switch position and is biased toward such ON positions when not so retained.

摘要： A rotary key switch has a momentary action such that a lock cylinder and control member are returned to normal positions by a torsion spring provided in a central bore of the control member. The switch housing is in two parts, a lower body portion and an upper panel mounted cap portion that also supports the lock cylinder. The lower portion defines a cylindrical cavity and supports the control member on a central post that is also provided in this central bore. The housing portions are telescopically secured to one another and a stop is deformed in part by the control member and the panel mounted cap portion to positively limit the rotation of the key and lock cylinder.

摘要： A make before break switch having two opposed fixed contacts separately closed by a pivotal contact lever. A center fixed contact supports the lever for movement both pivotally and vertically so that the contact lever closes on both said two fixed contacts in an intermediate position. A conventional actuator means and spring biasing means controls the contact lever as it is so moved, and a secondary biasing means is provided below the lever to allow the make before break action as the actuating means moves through its intermediate position.

摘要： A common switch base and rocker are combined with either a sliding contact or with a pivoting contact lever to provide two different types of electrical switches from fewer different component parts. The rocker has a depending post portion for sliding the smaller contact, and the longer contact lever has an elongated slot to accommodate the rocker post portion without interfering with it. The rocker also has internal abutments that engage the contact lever to assure positive action thereof, which abutments do not interfere with action of the sliding contact.
