摘要: A sheet containing the apertures to be filled is coated with a layer of crystalline material. A localized heat source heats small portions of the layer at a time. The crystalline material in each portion is melted and allowed to flow into the apertures. The localized heat source is then moved to heat a different portion of the crystalline layer. In this fashion the layer of crystalline material is scanned with the localized heat source so that the crystalline material melts, flows into the apertures to be filled and then recrystallizes.

摘要: In abstract, a preferred embodiment of the present invention is a variable design block print consisting of a pegboard with pins or pegs for mounting the printing blocks thereon. The holes for receiving the pegs within the board are spacingly arranged in a uniform pattern of equilateral triangles. The blocks are of various shapes and contain multiple pin-receiving holes arranged in a predetermined pattern for mounting in different orientations and positions.

摘要: A method for providing a calibration test gas sample includes identifying a first test canister containing a standard test gas including an ionic gas. A chemical formulation of the standard test gas includes a cation and an anion. The method further includes replacing the first test canister with a second test canister containing an improved test gas. A chemical formulation of the improved test gas includes a replacement atom comprising one of a heavier isotope of one of the cation and the anion.

摘要: A storage organizer comprising a planar base sheet whereupon compartments or containers for storing items or substances may be arranged as a plurality of rows and columns, and where said organizer may be incorporated into a loose-leaf ringed binder simultaneously used to store and organize relevant paper documents. Categorization of stored items occurs through labeling space above columns and beside rows, while a paper or pull-out component situated beneath stored items allows for a submatrix stratification and characterization of stored contents. A method for efficiently storing and familiarizing medicines is addressed, comprising organization by day and a specific time or frequency of administration on the base sheet, with further characterization on the paper or pull-out component according to medicine name, strength and prescription number by row, with columns according to date prescribed and initials of prescriber, appearance, indication, intended result, special considerations and/or monitoring parameters, and possible side effects.

摘要: A user interface facilitates assessing security risks for linear corridors. The interface includes a navigation window presenting geospatial data for an area associated with a corridor. The interface also includes a navigation tool having a corridor indicator that provides a diagrammatic linear representation of the linear corridor, indicia along the corridor indicator that represent critical assets, and a corridor window superimposed on the corridor indicator that slides linearly along the corridor indicator. The portion of the corridor displayed in the interface corresponds to a location of the corridor window on the corridor indicator. The interface also includes an attributes area presenting information associated with the area presented in the navigation window. At least one of the navigation window and the attributes area is configured to present risk assessment information associated with the linear corridor.

摘要: A configuration for coating a turbine component such as a blade or vane with various forms of thermal barrier coating to provide enhanced temperature capability and increased strain tolerance is disclosed. A gas path surface of the platform, airfoil and airfoil fillet region are first coated with a bond coating. A dense vertically cracked (DVC) thermal barrier coating is then applied to at least the gas path surface of the platform and can be applied to the fillet region. A porous thermal barrier coating is then applied to at least the airfoil. The porous thermal barrier coating can also be applied over the DVC thermal barrier coating if desired.

摘要: A printing system comprises a paper path architecture for parallel printing using multiple marking engines. The media path configuration enables all the media feed trays to be located in one place, relative to the marking engines. A cross-over module is located between marking engines. The cross-over module can interleave media sheets that are being transported away from a first marking engine with the sheets being transported to the second marking engine. The cross-over module also includes a straight through path that enables media sheets to be transported directly to a finishing device without going through either marking engine. The marking engines include internal duplex loops such that media can be supplied to each engine in alternate groups. A merge module selectively merges the media which can then be further processed in a finishing transition module prior to communication to a finishing device.

摘要: An apparatus and method that operates a flattener in an ink-based printing apparatus. The printing apparatus can include a media path configured to transport media sheets. The printing apparatus can include a marking module configured to jet ink drops to generate images on the media sheets. The printing apparatus can include a flattener configured to flatten the ink jet drops of the images on the media sheets in a flattener nip. The printing apparatus can include a release agent distributer configured to distribute release agent on a first rotational flattener member. The printing apparatus can include a controller configured to control the printing apparatus to reduce an inter-copy gap distance between a first media sheet and a second media sheet to prevent a first rotational flattener member from contacting a second rotational flattener member between the first media sheet and the second media sheet.
