    摘要： There is provided a display apparatus which uses a display panel using a liquid crystal having a bistability or a memory performance such as a ferroelectric liquid crystal and can display image data in various display modes in which the number of pixels (resolution), display color, minimum pixel unit, and the like respectively differ. The display apparatus comprises: a memory to store the image data; a pixel data output circuit to output the image data stored in the memory every pixel data; a converter to convert the pixel data which was output from the pixel data output circuit into binary data which is displayed on the display panel; a display data output circuit for converting the binary data converted by the converter into the display data corresponding to the display mode and outputting; and a display controller for allowing the image data which was output by the display data output circuit to be displayed on the display panel. A multiplexer is used as a pixel data output circuit. An RAM in which binary data has been stored is used as a converter.

The image data storage memory is controlled to store image data having the first graphic event preferentially while inhibiting the storage of image data having the second graphic event based on prescribed display priority levels allocating a higher display priority to the first graphic event than to the second graphic event. The inhibition of the storage of image data having the second graphic event is released when first graphic event data transferred periodically is transferred to stop and display a first graphic display position.

    摘要： A driving apparatus comprises a driving unit and a drive voltage generating unit. The driving unit includes a scanning electrode driver and a data electrode driver for driving an electrode matrix formed of scanning electrodes and data electrodes. The drive voltage generating unit includes a first means for generating a fixed voltage, a second means for generating a source voltage for providing drive voltages for driving the electrode matrix, and a third means for generating a first voltage equal to a subtraction of the fixed voltage from the source voltage and a second voltage equal to a subtraction of the source voltage from the fixed voltage. The first and second voltages are preferably controlled so as to vary depending on an external temperature.
