Abstract: An automated method and apparatus for providing color selection capability to a user, wherein a first display is generated on a display apparatus of a plurality of color families displayed in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Upon selection of a particular color family, a second display is generated comprising an enlarged display of the particular selected color family and a thumbnail navigation frame displaying the plurality of color families and a link enabling return to the first display, the enlarged display including a plurality of color chips of the particular color family. A third display may further be generated in response to a selection of a particular color chip on the second display, the third display having an enlarged display of the particular color chip, the thumbnail navigation frame displaying the plurality of color families, and the link enabling return to the first display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for color coordination for scanned products are provided. A kiosk has an input device, a display device, and an optical code reader and has access to a product/color database. The kiosk is configured to receive an identification code scanned by the optical code reader, determine a product sample associated with the identification code, determine at least one coordinating color for the flooring product based on the product/color database, display a simulated environment including a sample room having at least one selectable surface, display on the display device the at least one coordinating color, receive with the input device a selected color, receive with the input device a selected surface from the sample room, and display on the display device the simulated environment showing the sample room with the product sample and with the selected color on the selected surface of the sample room.

Abstract: A system includes a shelving mechanism having a first surface, a second surface, a tab channel adjacent to the second surface, and a pair of supports. The pair of supports is disposed between an opening defined by the first surface and the second surface. The tab channel is defined by a first tab surface and a second tab surface. The first tab surface and the second tab surface are nonparallel to the second surface. The first tab surface includes a first locking portion and the second tab surface includes a second locking portion. A light-emitting diode (LED) array is slidably disposed on the pair of supports and a divider tab snaps into engagement with the tab channel. The divider tab is configured to illuminate in response to receiving light from the LED array.

Abstract: Systems and methods for color selection are provided. A user device displays room types on a display, receives a room type selection indicating a particular room type, displays types of feelings, and receives a type of feeling selection indicating a particular type of feeling. The user device accesses a lookup table that associates the room types and types of feelings with paint colors such that each possible combination of room type and type of feeling is associated with a subset of paint colors. The user device determines the associated subset of paint colors in the lookup table for the combination of the particular room type and the particular type of feeling and displays the associated subset of paint colors as recommended paint colors for the combination of the particular room type and the particular type of feeling on the display of the user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods include a server configured to provide a web site application to a remote computing device over the Internet. The remote computing device is configured to receive user input to control a cursor. The web site application is configured to enable the remote computing device to display a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the remote computing device, each color sheen chip representing a paint sheen. The web site application is configured to pivot a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the remote computing device when a cursor of the remote computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.
