摘要: A caulking tool is formed of a flat plate with first and second major surfaces and an edge surface. The tool has a rectangular section with two rounded corners, an intermediate section abutting the rectangular section, and first and second projections extending from the intermediate section. The first projection tapers to a straight tip and the second projection tapers in a curved manner to another tip that points at substantially a right angle away from the straight tip. At both projections, edges of the second surface extend beyond edges of the first major surface with the edge surface convex from the edge of the first major surface to the edge of the second major surface.

摘要: A scintillation crystal is heated. A temperature gradient is established across a scintillation crystal inside a scintillation camera system. The decay time of a scintillation flash is related to the temperature of the site at which the corresponding scintillation event takes place. By monitoring the decay time of detected scintillation flashes, as by differentiation, the depth of the scintillation event within the scintillation crystal is determined, thereby leading to improved spatial resolution and improved energy resolution.

摘要: This device when adapted to an ordinary bath tub, converts the tub into a system that prevents spilled water resulting from the process of taking a bath, from spilling onto the bathroom floor. This device captures the water that ordinarily would have fallen on the floor and redirects it to a reservoir tank, for holding. This tank or water holding device, stores the water until it is quickly and easily disposed by dumping it back into the tub's drainage system. There is no other system that has the ability to keep the bathroom floor completely dry when either taking a shower or a bath. With a series of shield, water trough and hoses, the water that ordinarily would have become a safety hazard on the floor, is quickly channeled off to a drain line, there to a reservoir tank from which the water would be disposed. The device is attractive, non-intrusive and light weight. It is also detachable after installation and is completely portable and transferrable.

摘要: Systems and methods for generating and playing a sequence of media objects based on a mood gradient are also disclosed. A mood gradient is a sequence of items, in which each item is media object having known characteristics or a representative set of characteristics of a media object, that is created or used by a user for a specific purpose. Given a mood gradient, one or more new media objects are selected for each item in the mood gradient based on the characteristics associated with that item. In this way, a sequence of new media objects is created but the sequence exhibits a similar variation in media object characteristics. The mood gradient may be presented to a user or created via a display illustrating a three-dimensional space in which each dimension corresponds to a different characteristic. The mood gradient may be represented as a path through the three-dimensional space and icons representing media objects are located within the three-dimensional space based on their characteristics.

摘要: A system and method which may allow a user to drag and drop a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of a web page onto a media sink on the desktop of the user's computer to download media which may be embedded in or linked to from the web page, so the media may be saved them locally for future consumption. The system may allow a user to subscribe to a URL so that the system may monitor new media as it becomes available at the URL and automatically download the new media. The system may also analyze web media content and its metadata that a user has downloaded, infer the user's preferences, search for web media based on the user's preferences, and recommend web media to the user. The system may consider what other users have downloaded when recommending web media to the user.

摘要: The systems and methods described create a mathematical representation of each of the media objects for which user ratings are known. The mathematical representations take into account the subjective rating value assigned by a user to the respective media object and the user that assigned the rating value. The media object with the mathematical representation closest to that of the seed media object is then selected as the most similar media object to the seed media object. In an embodiment, the mathematical representation is a vector representation in which each user is a different dimension and each user's rating value is the magnitude of the vector in that dimension. Similarity between two songs is determined by identifying the closest vectors to that of the seed song. Closeness may be determined by subtracting or by calculating the dot product of each of the vectors with that of the seed media object.
