摘要: A method for monitoring the health of one or more blades is presented. The method includes the steps of determining a delta TOA corresponding to each of the one or more blades based upon respective actual time of arrival (TOA) of the one or more blades, determining a normalized delta TOA corresponding to each of the one or more blades by removing effects of one or more operational data from the delta TOA, and determining a corrected delta TOA corresponding to each of the one or more blades by removing effects of reseating of the one or more blades from the normalized delta TOA.

摘要: Systems and methods for multi-level optimization of emission levels and efficiency for a boiler system that includes creating both boiler-level models and burner-level models and receiving a plurality of boiler-level system variables. The received system variables are used along with boiler system constraints to optimize boiler-level setpoints. Once the boiler-level setpoints have been optimized they are sent to the burner level of a hierarchical control system, where they are used to optimize burner-level setpoints. Once the burner-level setpoints have been optimized they are sent to the burner control loops of the plant control system to be implemented.

摘要: The present invention provides methods and tools to aggregate information stemming from a plurality of different classification tools and supportive evidential information to arrive at a unified classification estimate. The information fusion system according to the present invention has a plurality of sensors associated with the system, where each sensor is related to at least one class of the system and is data-related to the at least one class. A plurality of classification tools are each designed to receive selected and pre-processed outputs from the sensors and to generate classification outputs representing a state of at least one class of the system. An information fusion tool is configured to receive the outputs of the classification tools as well as evidential information as inputs, and has an hierarchical architecture which manipulates the inputs to generate an output of aggregated fused information for a particular class of the system.

摘要: A clothes load estimation method for a clothes washer, and a washing machine having a controller for controlling at least one operating condition for a clothes washer, are provided, in which a value of an inertia (I.sub.c) of the clothes load is determined in accordance with a relationship to a sensed basket acceleration (.alpha..sub.o) and a sensed motor phase angle (.phi..sub.m). The relationship is based on and derived from a dynamic modeling of a motor/inner clutch subsystem, an outer clutch, subsystem, a belt subsystem, and a washer basket/clothes load subsystem. The method and apparatus require only low cost motor phase sensors and either velocity or position sensors in controlling the washer operating condition.

摘要: An energy efficient washing machine includes a control system that provides a cleansing fluid level that is optimized for effective cleaning of the soiled articles and includes a closed loop adaptive water level controller that controls the addition of water into the machine. The adaptive water level controller includes an agitator load signature monitor and an agitator work-determining processor, the processor being coupled to the agitator load signature monitor and a cleansing fluid supply system and adapted to generate a fluid supply control signal in correspondence with an agitator work signal, which signal is generated by the processor in correspondence with iterative respective agitator load signature values corresponding to strokes of the agitator. A method of determining the optimal fill level for the cleansing fluid in a washing machine includes the steps of operating an agitator disposed in the washer basket to displace articles to be cleansed; determining a plurality of respective agitator load signature values during the operation of the agitator; processing the respective agitator load signature values to determine an agitator minimal work point signal; and generating a cleansing fluid supply system control signal in correspondence with the agitator minimal work point signal to provide the optimal cleansing fluid fill level for the articles to be cleansed that are disposed in the washing machine.
