摘要： A system, computer program product and method of preventing recordation of true keyboard acoustic emanations are provided. In an embodiment, it is determined whether a user has stricken a key on a keyboard. In response to the stricken key a keystroke sound from a mask which is dissimilar to a keystroke sound produced by the stricken key is emitted to drown out the keystroke sound of the stricken key. In another embodiment, when a plurality of keys is stricken, a random keystroke sound is emitted between keystroke sounds made by two stricken keys to blur out word boundaries.

摘要： The user of a mobile device such as a cellular telephone can locate a lost or misplaced telephone by remotely adjusting the volume of the ring tone such that it is audible enough to for the user to hear it. The user will be able to call his/her own device. Once connected to the device, the user will be provided with the option to remotely change their ringer tone (e.g., from vibrate or low ringer volume to high ringer volume). Another feature is that the device will be able to provide information about its physical location in the event the owner is not in the same proximate area of the device. Third, the device will also have an emergency amount of power reserved exclusively for this retrieval process.

摘要： A system and method are provided for supplying a specified minimum level of power to a laptop computer or other device during a battery replacement procedure. In the system, a first battery has a plurality of terminal pairs, each terminal pair comprising positive and negative terminals. The system further includes a battery interface comprising two pairs of contact points, the contact points of each pair adapted to engage corresponding terminals of one of the terminal pairs to couple power from the first battery to the laptop. The power provided to the device by either of the terminal pairs is sufficient to supply the specified minimum level of power. A structure is configured to selectively support the first battery in both normal operating and battery exchange positions, with respect to the battery interface, so that the terminals of at least one terminal pair are always engaged with contact points of a contact pair when the first battery is in the normal operating or the exchange position, or is being moved therebetween. A second battery, substantially identical to the first battery, is adapted for placement with respect to the structure to bring terminals of a terminal pair of the second battery into engagement with contacts of one of the contact pairs, when the first battery is in the battery exchange position.

The method includes determining a distance between the two vehicles. The first vehicle is ahead of the second vehicle. The method also includes calculating a safe distance range between the two vehicles based upon one or more of speed, weight, and safe braking range values of at least one of the two vehicles. The method further includes comparing the distance and the safe distance range and activating a recording device on the affected vehicle if the distance is less than the safe distance range indicating an unacceptable range value, the offending vehicle being responsible for causing the unacceptable range value.
