摘要: An attachment section 215A is approximately vertically cut and raised in a tongue-shape on a lateral section 212 of a lower casing 210 provided by press working of a steel plate in a manner that an outer side of the lateral section 212 becomes an upper side of the attachment section 215A on which a circuit board 400 is mounted. A support section 215B is cut and raised on a bottom section 211 of the lower casing 210 so that the lower side of the bottom section 211 becomes opposite to an end surface 213 of the lower casing 210 and a tip end contacts approximately in parallel to a lateral side (in projecting direction) of the attachment section 215A. Attaching force applied when the circuit board 400 is attached to a threaded hole 216 of the attachment section 215A by the screw 410 is received by the support section 215B, so that the axial direction of the screw 410 and the axial direction of the threaded hole 216 are substantially aligned, thereby allowing proper attachment of the circuit board 400.

摘要: The pump (10, 110, 210) may comprise a casing (39, 139, 239) and a substantially disk-shaped impeller (36, 136, 236) that rotates within the casing. A group of depression-shaped grooves may be formed on at least one of the front and reverse surfaces of the impeller and the two casing internal surfaces in opposition to these surfaces. The depression-shaped grooves may extend from the center towards the outer periphery of the impeller. When the impeller rotates, fuel within the clearance between the impeller and the casing is propelled, within the depression-shaped grooves, from the center towards the periphery. In this way, forces are generated in the direction that increases the clearance between the impeller and the casing. It is preferred that the group of depression-shaped grooves 38b is formed closely spaced near the discharge hole 50 (area B), and elsewhere (area C) is formed more widely spaced. Also, it is preferred that the clearance between the surface on which the depression-shaped grooves 136c are formed and the surface 138b in opposition thereto increases from the center of the impeller towards the outer periphery of the impeller.

摘要: A method and apparatus for producing a contact lens material having two opposite lens-forming surfaces is disclosed. A first resin mold having a molding surface providing one of the opposite lens-forming surfaces of the contact lens material is injection-molded by closing a first and a second die to define at least one mold cavity and injecting a resin material into the mold cavity. A second resin mold having a molding surface is injection-molded by closing a third and a fourth die to define at least one mold cavity and injecting a resin material into the second mold cavity. The dies are separate away from each other and molding material is introduced into one of the resin molds which are held on one of the respective dies. The dies holding the first and second resin molds are moved relative to each other to assemble the first and second resin molds to define a mold cavity for the contact lens material.

摘要: A plurality of groups of integrated elements (30, 40) comprising a plurality of photovoltaic elements (2) electrically connected in series are provided on a substrate (1) having an insulating surface. The plurality groups of integrated elements (30, 40) are arranged in parallel by interposing a separating part (50). A rear surface member (4) is electrically connected with the plurality of the groups of integrated elements (30, 40) in series and is adhered to a rear surface side of the plurality of groups of integrated elements (30, 40) by interposing an adhesive layer (5) containing resin. The adhesive layer (5) is provided so as to cover a rear surface of the groups of integrated elements (30, 40) except for an area corresponding to the separating part (50).

摘要: A portable liquid purifying device for dispensing a liquid, which includes a squeezable bottle made of a soft material and containing a mass of the liquid, a filtering member removably engaging a bottleneck of the bottle, and a cover assembly for covering a spout formed through the filtering member so as to fluid-tightly close the spout. The filtering member has a first section which accommodates activated carbon, and a second section which accommodates a micro-porous membrane filter including hollow fibers, the first and second sections being disposed in series so that the liquid delivered out of the bottle passes through the first and second sections in this order. The filtering member is fluid-tightly and air-tightly attached to the bottleneck such that the filtering member does not protrude past the bottleneck. The cover assembly has a first position for fluid-tightly closing the spout, and a second position for opening the spout so as to permit the liquid to flow out of the device.

摘要: There is disclosed a thin and inexpensive viscous fluid coupling used to control the rotational speed of a fan for cooling an automotive engine. The coupling comprises a shaft, a housing rotatably held to the shaft, a cover mounted to the housing, a first and a second annular partition plates having communication holes, respectively, a valve for opening and closing the holes, and a rotor mounted to one end of the shaft. The housing and the cover together form an inside space which is divided into a storage chamber and a working chamber by the partition plates. The inside diameter of the first partition plate is less than that of the second partition plate. The communication holes are located on the same circumference, or the hole in the first partition plate is located radially outside the hole in the second partition plate.
