According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a sensor-equipped display device including a pixel electrode, a common electrode opposed to the pixel electrode, and a detection electrode which is opposed to the common electrode, includes a plurality of segments, a display driver configured to supply a display signal to the pixel electrode and to supply a sensor driving signal or a common driving signal to the common electrode, a detection circuit configured to output to the display driver a data set including a sensor detection value from each of the segments of the detection electrode, based on the supplying of the sensor driving signal to the common electrode, and an application processor configured to receive the data set which has been output via the display driver from the detection circuit.

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a sensor-equipped display device including a display device and a sensor which outputs information for detecting a contact position on the display device, a display driver which outputs a driving signal to the sensor based on one setting table, an application processor which outputs a table selection signal specifying a setting table and a sensor setting signal specifying a driving method of the sensor to the display driver, and a sensing circuit which outputs a dataset including three-dimensional information of a coordinate of a position on the display device and a physical quantity at the coordinate to the application processor, and outputs a table selection request signal generated based on the table selection signal, and a control signal which controls driving timing of the sensor to the display driver, the control signal having generated based on the sensor setting signal.

A sensor-integrated display panel including an operation surface for performing an input operation and an image display surface which are formed integrally with a sensor as one piece. A data transfer device supplies the sensor-integrated display panel with a drive signal for driving the sensor and outputs sensing data corresponding to a potential of a sensor signal output from the sensor. A contact electrode is provided in a frame formed around the sensor-integrated display panel to vary the potential of the sensor signal when a conductor touches or does not touch to the frame. An application executing device receives and analyzes the sensing data and generates a signal to select an operating function in accordance with an analysis result.
Abstract:
According to an aspect, a touch detection device has a detection surface for detecting a position of an external proximity object which is in contact therewith or in proximity thereto. The touch detection device includes: a drive electrode layer that has a plurality of drive electrodes; a plurality of touch detection electrodes that face the drive electrodes; a drive electrode driver for applying a driving signal to the drive electrodes; and a plurality of wirings for electrically coupling the plurality of drive electrodes with the drive circuit. In the drive electrode layer, a specific drive electrode coupled via the wiring with a longest distance has an overlapped area smaller than an average of the overlapped areas of the other drive electrodes. The overlapped area is an area that is overlapped with the wiring.
