摘要： In an array substrate, a method of manufacturing the array substrate, and a liquid crystal display (LCD) device having the array substrate, a pixel electrode includes an outline portion, connection portions, and slit portions. The outline portion is arranged toward a data line and a gate line thereon, and the connection portions extend in a direction that crosses the data line and the gate line, respectively, to connect to the outline portion. The slit portions protrude from side surfaces of the connection portions to connect to the outline portion. A shielding electrode is arranged toward the outline portion between the data line and the outline portion, and the gate line and the outline portion.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display includes; forming a mother substrate assembly by disposing a liquid crystal mixture layer having liquid crystals and a light curable alignment supplement between a first mother substrate and a second mother substrate of a liquid crystal display, and disposing a light curable sealant surrounding the liquid crystal mixture layer, pre-tilting liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal mixture layer by applying a voltage to the first mother substrate and the second mother substrate, and simultaneously hardening the alignment supplement and the sealant by radiating light to the mother substrate assembly while applying the voltage to the first mother substrate and the second mother substrate.

摘要： In a method of driving a liquid crystal display (“LCD”) apparatus, a common voltage is applied to a common electrode above a liquid crystal layer and pixel voltages are applied to pixel electrodes under the liquid crystal layer to form an electrical field with the common electrode to control movements of liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer. Each of the pixel electrodes has slits. Then, a supplementary voltage is applied to a supplementary electrode between the slits of each pixel electrode to compensate the electric field formed by the pixel electrodes and the common electrode.
