    摘要： The present invention provides a high-quality image display device which allows scanning line electrodes to exhibit a uniform film thickness and the uniform low resistance over a whole length thereof thus suppressing local resistance irregularities and broken steps of the scanning line electrodes. The present invention provides the stacked structure which is constituted of scanning line lower electrodes which are embedded in grooves formed in a main surface of an insulating substrate which constitutes a first substrate, a first insulating layer, signal line electrodes, a second insulating layer, a third insulating layer, and scanning line upper electrodes. Electron sources are constituted of the signal line electrodes, the second insulating layer and the scanning line upper electrodes.

    摘要： The irregularities of coloring concentration which is generated between dyed media when a color filter substrate which is prepared in a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device is manufactured by supplying ink to dyed media formed on a main surface of the color filter substrate using an ink jet method. In the present invention, as color filter ink which is supplied to the dyed media formed on the color filter substrate using the inkjet method, liquid which contains dye which colors the dyed media, solvent (for example, water) which has an affinity for the dye, a volatility-adjusting agent (for example, glycerin) which lowers the volatility of the ink to a level below the volatility of the solvent, and a dyeing-promoter agent (for example, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) which exhibits a higher affinity for the dye and the dyed media than the volatility adjusting agent. Then, the dyed media is colored with this ink.

    摘要： A first substrate has at least scanning signal electrodes, video signal electrodes and pixel electrodes, all of which constitute display pixels, and active elements. A first alignment layer is formed, directly or via an insulating layer, as a top layer on the electrodes constituting the display pixels and the active elements. A second substrate which is bonded to the first substrate with a very small interval provided in between is provided with a second alignment layer that is formed so as to confront the first alignment layer. A liquid crystal layer is provided in a space between the first and second alignment layers. The electrodes constituting the display pixels are formed so as to apply, to the liquid crystal layer, an electric field that is substantially parallel with the surfaces of the first and second substrates and are connected to an external control device for controlling the electric field in accordance with a desired display pattern. Polarizing plates change an optical characteristic of light to be output from the second substrate in accordance with the alignment state of the liquid crystal layer that is produced by the electric field applied to the liquid crystal layer. At least one of the first and second alignment layers has been given alignment ability by illumination with polarized light.

    摘要： Electronic equipment of the invention includes a keyboard for inputting character data, a memory for storing the character data input from the keyboard, a printer for printing the character data stored in the memory, and a display for displaying the memory contents. The memory consists of a buffer for temporarily storing the character data, a cursor pointer indicating a cursor position on the display, an end pointer indicating a position immediately succeeding the position of the last character input from the keyboard, and a head pointer indicating the printing head position of the printer. The keyboard includes a relocation key in addition to various character input keys. When the relocation key is depressed, the cursor is moved to a position indicated by the cursor pointer, and when depressed again, the cursor is moved to the position indicated by the end pointer, thus facilitating correction of input errors.
