    摘要: An image forming element is disclosed which is easy to manufacture, which can form images easily and at a low cost, and which is stable without fear of environmental problems arising at a time of disposal. Also disclosed is an image forming device which utilizes the image forming element and which can form color images. The image forming element contains at least a film in which rod-shaped bodies are oriented and which reflects incident light as colored interference light. The image forming device is equipped with at least the image forming element, and an ability to irradiate light onto the image forming element. The image forming element reflects, as interference light, the irradiated light. The wavelength of the interference light is 300 to 810 nm.

    摘要: A light and heat sensitive recording material passes through an accommodating section and a heat-development section and reaches an optical recording section. At the optical recording section, optical recording is effected, at the heat-development section, development is effected and at the photo-fixing section, fixing is effected upon the light and heat sensitive recording material. Finally, the light and heat sensitive recording material is discharged from a discharge section to the outside. At the photo-fixing section, white light from the optical recording section is used and irradiated onto the light and heat sensitive recording material. Thus, by using the same light source, a latent image can be appropriately recorded on the light and heat sensitive recording material and the heat-developed image can be reliably fixed.

    摘要: There is provided an image recording device which is compact and free of waste materials, which has a completely dry system and a simplified exposure system, and which can carry out high speed image recording. The image recording device includes, within a housing of the image recording device, an accommodating section for accommodating a light and heat sensitive recording material; a light recording section for exposing the light and heat sensitive recording material, which is supplied from the accommodating section, with light to record a latent image; a heat developing section for developing the latent image by applying heat; a light fixing section for irradiating light to fix the developed image; and a discharging section for discharging the light and heat sensitive recording material having an image recorded thereon. Exposure is carried out by a plurality of LEDs provided at a light source section of an exposure unit of the light recording section.

    摘要: A recording material is provided with, on a support, at least a coloring layer containing a first coloring component which is substantially colorless and a second coloring component which is substantially colorless and is colored by reacting with the first coloring component, wherein the coloring layer contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin having syndiotacticity of greater than or equal to 55 molar % as diad indication and a saponification degree of greater than or equal to 85 molar %. There is also disclosed a recording material having a protective layer provided on the coloring layer of the aforementioned recording material, wherein the polyvinyl alcohol resin having syndiotacticity of greater than or equal to 55 molar % as diad indication and a saponification degree of greater than or equal to 85 molar % is contained in at least one of the coloring layer and the protective layer. In particular, a modified polyvinyl alcohol having an ethylene-modified rate of 20 molar % to 1 molar % and a saponification rate of greater than or equal to 85 molar % is suitable. The present recording materials have the excellent water resistance, resistance to chemicals, running properties and manufacturing applicability.
