摘要: A focus condition detecting system for a cata-dioptric lens wherein it can be judged correctly whether or not detection of a focus condition is possible, and a cata-dioptric lens for use with the focus condition detecting system. The system comprises a focus condition detecting means for detecting a relative displacement between a pair of images of light formed by a pair of optical means from beams of light from a pair of different areas of a plane of an exit pupil of a cata-dioptric lens to detect a focus condition of the lens. Data regarding outer and inner radii of an exit pupil or some other peculiar data are fixedly stored in the lens. The data are successively forwarded to a camera body, and depending upon the data, it is judged whether optically accurate detection of a focus condition is possible from a combination of the optical means and the lens. When the judgment is affirmative, the detecting means is rendered operative. A set of interchangeable lenses which contribute to improvement in function of a body of a camera and also to development of a camera system is also provided.

摘要: An exposure controlling system wherein functional restrictions are little even when a cata-dioptric lens is mounted as an interchangeable lens and also provide an interchangeable lens for such an exposure controlling system. The exposure controlling system comprises means for reading data regarding aperture values of an interchangeable lens from the lens, and a light measuring means. In response to outputs of the two means, a display means displays, when the lens is an ordinary lens, a combination of an aperture value and an exposure time to which the ordinary lens can be controlled to provide an appropriate exposure, and when the lens is a cata-dioptric lens, a fixed aperture value and an exposure time for the fixed aperture value of the cata-dioptric lens which time provides an appropriate exposure. A cata-dioptric lens as the interchangeable lens comprises means for receiving a reading instruction signal from a camera body, and means for successively forwarding data peculiar to the cata-dioptric lens to the body in response to the reading instruction signal. The data include data regarding a fully open aperture value and data regarding a maximum aperture value, and the two values are equal to each other.

摘要: An exposure system for a camera includes a light emitting apparatus for emitting an artificial light toward an object. The light emitting apparatus is capable of selectively emitting a first type of light which flashes instantaneously, and a second type of light which flashes for a prolonged period of time. The intensity is maintained constant during the prolonged period of time. A camera produces a mode signal for switching the light emitting apparatus between a first mode in which the instantaneous flash light is emitted and a second mode in which the prolonged flash light is emitted.

摘要: A distance measuring apparatus of the present invention converges the reflected light on objects through a converging lens and detects the light by a multi-divisional photodiode. The multi-divisional photodiode comprises a plural number of light receiving elements so that each of the light receiving elements detects the reflected light from the corresponding object to provide an electric signal according to the quantity of reflected light. The quantity of light in the peripheral portions of the flash or the converging lens is inherently smaller than the quantity of light in the central portion thereof. This distance measuring apparatus is improved so that a constant electric signal is obtained by any of the light receiving elements as far as the distance to the objects is constant. For example, such improvement is made in a manner in which: the quantity of received light of the central portion is limited by a filter provided between the converging lens and the multi-divisional photodiode; the light receiving areas of the light receiving elements are increased in peripheral portions of the multi-divisional photodiode compared with those in the central portion thereof; or the obtained electric signal is electrically corrected.
