摘要： A crimping tool for connecting a cable fitting to the end of a coaxial cable is made up of one or more die members having tapered die surfaces of circular configuration, a chuck which is axially spaced from the die surfaces to support the fitting in loosely assembled relation to the end of the cable, and a handle is pivotally mounted in such a way as to cause axial movement of the chuck toward and away from the die surfaces and specifically to axially force the fitting into the die cavity and uniformly reduce the circumference of one end of the fitting into a generally conical configuration snugly engaging the cable.

摘要： A coaxial cable connector for connection to a terminal includes inner and outer spaced concentric sleeves configured to cooperate in retaining an end of a coaxial cable, at least one of the inner and outer sleeves having a flange at its forward end and a coupling member configured to draw the flange toward an end of the terminal. The coupling member and the flange have confronting surface portions therebetween. The connector further includes an annular electrically conductive member disposed between the confronting surface portions for establishing conductivity between the coupling member and the flange when the coupling member and the flange are drawn into proximity with one another.

摘要： A coaxial cable connector includes a forward outer housing having at least one slot and a rearward threaded portion, the at least one slot configured to receive a corresponding pin of a mating connector; a rear outer housing having a forward threaded portion configured to threadingly engage the rearward threaded portion of the forward outer housing such that the rear outer housing is moveable between a first position and a second position relative to the forward outer housing; and an inner body extending through at least a portion of the forward outer housing and the rear outer housing. The inner body is longitudinally displaceable relative to the forward outer housing when the rear outer housing is in the first position, and the inner body is longitudinally fixed relative to the forward outer housing when the rear outer housing is in the second position.

摘要： A hand-held tool for terminating connectors onto a coaxial cable has an elongated body and an end stop and plunger on the body, the plunger being controlled by a lever arm which will axially advance the plunger toward and away from the end stop to radially compress a portion of the connector into firm crimping engagement with the end of the coaxial cable. To accommodate different lengths of connectors, a plunger permits mounting of different length adapter tips to vary the axial spacing between the adapter tips and the end stop according to the length of connector being terminated.

摘要： A connector or termination assembly for a mini-coaxial cable in different embodiments is made up of an extension tip which is preassembled in a connector body to receive the inner conductor pin on the cable, a first inner sleeve which fits over an exposed end of the dielectric layer, a second outer sleeve which surrounds a compression ring, and a crimping ring is mounted on the outside of the outer sleeve to force the sleeves to be radially contracted into crimping engagement with the cable so as to avoid creating impedance which will downgrade the signal passing through the cable into the connector. In alternate embodiments, variations of the connector body may be employed for different lengths and forms of connectors with a compression tool or crimping ring assembly in further combination with color bands to signify the size of cable and intended application.

摘要： A compression tool for connecting a cable fitting to the end of a cable includes a plunger having a chuck at one end together with an extension member releasably connected to the end of the chuck and aligned with enlarged recesses in spaced guideways, dies on the tool can be expanded to permit insertion of the connector fitting and cable into engagement with the end of the chuck or the extension member and contracted to apply a uniform crimpina force to the fitting in response to axial force applied to the chuck, and the spaced guideways have angled guide slots to correlate the advancement of the dies with the effective length of the chuck to cause the cable fitting to be contracted into crimping engagement with the end of the cable; and a special cable fitting is provided for smaller cables to compensate for the difference in diameter between standard cables and the smaller cables.
