    摘要: A variable length code decoding apparatus according to the present invention includes: an extracting unit which extracts a bit string from a beginning of a bit stream; a first storage unit for storing a plurality of code words in which one piece of data has been coded, and decoded data and code lengths respectively corresponding to the code words; a second storage unit for storing a plurality of code words in which two or more pieces of data have been coded, and decoded data and code lengths respectively corresponding to the code words; a first judging unit which judges whether one of the code words stored in the first storage unit is included in the extracted bit string, and, when judged as being included, outputs the decoded data and the code length of the code word; and a second judging unit which judges whether a code word stored in the second storage unit is included in the extracted bit string, and when judged as being included, outputs the decoded data and the code length of the code word, wherein the extracting unit extracts the bit string to be decoded next in the same cycle as a cycle in which the judgment was made by the first judging unit, and extracts the bit string to be decoded next in a cycle following the cycle in which the judgment was made by the second judging unit.

A stack array laser element for radiating a two-dimensional array of laser beams includes a plurality of parallel laser beam columns each aligned in the form of dotted lines. In front of the stack array laser element, each laser beam column collimated by being refracted in the direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the dotted line is received, and radiated by turning at right angles to the direction of the laser beams from each emitter or emitter group. In this way, the laser beams are converted into a plurality of substantially ladder-shaped parallel laser beam columns. These parallel laser beam columns are compressed to form parallel laser beam columns in alignment. Each compressed one of parallel laser beam columns is turned at right angles and radiated. Thus, all the laser beams are converted into a plurality of aligned parallel laser beams, which are collimated and condensed at a focal point.

In the present invention, the solder balls are picked up by a pick-up nozzle having a plurality of pick-up openings corresponding to electrode areas on the objects to be bonded and the solder balls are conveyed on the electrode areas. A laser radiating unit disposed independently above the pick-up nozzle is shifted along an arrangement direction of the pick-up openings and a laser beam from the laser radiating unit is irradiated onto the solder ball through a transparent member of the pick-up nozzle and through the pick-up opening of the pick-up nozzle, thereby melting the solder ball on the electrode area.

The method relates to a method of manufacturing a magnetic head for attaching a slider, on which an air bearing surface (ABS) is formed, to a suspension. A surface of the slider on which the ABS is formed is photographed, and the ABS and an engraved region formed within the ABS are identified from the photographed image. Then, a reference that serves as a guide in attaching the suspension is computed, and the slider is attached to the suspension based on the reference. It thus becomes possible for positive pressure and negative pressure that occur in the ABS to be well balanced centered about the suspension, making it possible to stabilize flying attitude and electrical characteristics.
