摘要： A magnetic tape cassette having an upper part and a lower part combined during assembly to form a unitary housing, a front lid that can be moved between an open position and a closed position, a pair of reel hubs rotatably mounted within the cassette housing for winding a tape thereon, and a hub lock member for locking the pair of reel hubs, includes a structure to temporarily secure the hub lock member to the upper part in a range outside a normal movable range of the hub lock member. This structure is formed as a cut-away portion having a predetermined width in its movable direction formed on the hub lock member and a stopper portion formed on the lower part in association with the cut-away portion, so that an edge of the cut-away portion comes in contact with the stopper portion to prevent the hub lock member from being once again secured to the upper part once the housing is assembled.

摘要： A distance-measuring apparatus comprises a first detecting device for detecting a distance to a central portion of an object field corresponding to a photographing frame and generating data corresponding to a detected distance, a second detecting device for detecting distances to a plurality of peripheral portions of the object field except for the central portion and generating data corresponding to detected distances, and an operating device for operating the first and second detecting devices. The oeprating device has a first operation step of operating the first detecting device and a second operation step of operating the second detecting device. The first step is executed to determine the detected distance to the central portion. The execution of the second step depends on the determination result and may produce an average peripheral distance output or a shortest peripheral distance output for driving a phototaking lens. Depending upon the determination result, a central distance output may instead by produced.

摘要： A single-sided magnetic tape cassette with a remaining tape length indicator comprises a transparent bearing sheet between the tape reels and a transparent window formed in a cassette casing, and an opaque bearing sheet between the tape reels and the opposite surface of the cassette casing. The color of the opaque bearing sheet is selected to provide good color contrast with respect to the magnetic tape. The opaque bearing sheet is white so as to ensure good color contrast with any dark magnetic tape. Alternatively, the color of the opaque bearing sheet may be any color which provides good color contrast for ease of observation of the remaining length of the tape.
