    摘要: Nitro-subsliluted heterocyclic compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl, Z is an optionally substituted aryl or optionally subtituted heterocyclic groun containing at least one atom selected from N, O and S,A is optionally substituted ethylene or optionally substituted trimethylene, andB stands for 2 or 3 members of a heterocyclic ring which is formed, together with the adjacent C-atom and N-aom and at least one of said members may represent a hetero atom and may be optionally substituted, provided that when B stands for 3 members, two of which are carbon atoms and the other one is a nitrogen atom which is located in the middle of the three members, then at least one of said two carbon atoms must be substituted by a keto group. Such compounds being useful as insecticides.

    摘要: A vehicle cruise control apparatus having an automatic transmission system comprises a calculator for calculating the optimum gear position of the transmission system for minimum fuel consumption for the vehicle operating condition at each instant, a circuit for temporarily releasing the cruise control operation carried out by a controling circuit when the optimum gear position is not coincident with an actual gear position, and a control circuit responsive to the result of the calculation for automatically shifting the transmission to the optimum gear position during the release condition of the cruise control, and the cruise control operation is automatically restored when the gear change operation is completed, whereby economical vehicle operation is carried out without inconveniencing the driver when the car is being driven in the cruise control mode.

    摘要: Provided are a radio communication system, a receiver, and a transmitter, which are capable of reducing an operation time period of a reception circuit of the receiver and achieving reduction in power consumption even if there is a clock error between the transmitter and the receiver. In a case of a conventional method illustrated in FIG. 1(A), the receiver is operated earlier by a time period (Tm), to thereby achieve synchronization before the clock error of the receiver exceeds the time period (Tm). This requires an extended reception time period for achieving clock synchronization, which therefore prevents the receiver from reducing its power consumption. In view of this, according to the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 1(B), a synchronization signal is continuously transmitted from the transmitter a plurality of times in a short period of time, and the receiver receives only one of the continuously-transmitted synchronization signals. With this, the receiver can achieve synchronization of a reference clock by starting a reception operation earlier only by a time period (Tm′) (Tm′≦Tm).
