摘要： An automatic adjusting apparatus for adjusting equipment which comprises an adjustment state detecting section and a processing section. The detecting section detects an adjustment state of the equipment so as to output one or a plurality of adjustment state indexes on the basis of the detected adjustment state and the processing section performs the process on the basis of the adjustment state index to adjust the equipment. The processing section is equipped with an adjustment state evaluation section for calculating and outputting, on the basis of the adjustment state index, an adjustment evaluation value and an adjustment amount calculation section for calculating, on the basis of the adjustment state index, adjustment amounts for one or a plurality of portions of the equipment. Also included in the processing section is an adjustment control section for selecting, on the basis of the adjustment evaluation value, an adjustment amount from the outputs of the calculation section. The control section controls the calculation section so as to control the adjustment amount on the basis of the selection result. The calculation section has a function to learn the relation between the adjustment state index and the adjustment amount and a function to calculate the adjustment amount in accordance with the learned relation.

摘要： A data compression and recovery apparatus compresses picture element data of a color image by expressing two primary color values of each picture element as a set of parameter values of a neural network in conjunction with reference color data values of a corresponding block of picture elements. Date recovery is achieved by inputting each block of reference color values to a neural network while establishing the corresponding set of parameter values in the network, to thereby obtain the original pair of encoded primary color values for each of successive picture elements. The third primary color can be used as the reference color.

摘要： An electronic translator comprises an input device for entering a first word or words, a first memory circuit for storing the first words, a second memory circuit for storing second words equivalent to the first words, an access circuit for addressing the memory circuits to cause retrieval of the first word or words, or alternately the second word or words, and a control circuit for controlling activation of the access circuit. 摘要： An electronic language interpreter is operated such that an uninflected word is entered to obtain at least one inflected form of that word. The interpreter comprises three types of memories. The first contains a plurality of words of the uninflected form inclusive in their uninflected word. The second contains a plurality of words in a second language each of which is equivalent to one of the words within the first memory. The third memory contains digital data reflecting a certain number of inflection principles used to inflect the inflected words stored in the first memory. An alphabetical keyboard is provided for entering the uninflected form of the word. An inflection selection keyboard is provided for entering desired inflection information that is used to select data reflecting the appropriate inflection principles stored digitally in the third memory. An inflection enabling circuit is responsive to the selection functions of the inflection selection keyboard for inflecting the uninflected word according to the desired inflection principles derived from the third memory, to obtain the properly inflected word.

摘要： A control circuit of the present invention comprises a first memory for storing entry words, a second memory for storing a certain number of rule patterns according to which the endings of the entry words may be inflected, and an inflection control device responsive to the first memory and the second memory for inflecting the endings of the words by a particular rule pattern developed from the second memory. In another form of the present invention, an encoder is provided for encoding a word entered into first parts of coded information common to words identified as the same and into second parts of coded information having a difference dependent on the kind of the words. The equivalency between the word entered and one of entry words stored in a memory is determined using only the first parts of coded information.

摘要： An electronic translator is provided in which any of a plurality of groups of words, such as sentences, idioms and phrases can be translated from a first language into a second language in response to the input of a single word from one or more of the groups of words in the first language. An additional word can be entered in some embodiments so as to function in the same manner as the single word. At least two types of memories are provided for storing data representing each of the groups of words and their translated equivalents respectively. A detection circuit is provided for detecting whether the single word is equivalent to a word in any of the groups of words retrieved from one of the memories. An address circuit is provided for addressing each of the two memories so as to cause retrieval of the groups of words and their equivalent translated words.

摘要： A word information retrieval system in an electronic dictionary and language interpreter comprises an address controller for developing an initial address code number associated with character information designating at least a leading character of a desired word entered by an input device. An address counter is responsive to the address controller for addressing a memory circuit according to the initial address code number. The memory circuit contains a great number of bits of code information representing translated words equivalent to the entered word. A comparison circuit is provided for determining the equivalency between the entered word and one of the translated words obtained from the memory circuit. The address counter is further responsive to the comparison circuit for addressing the memory circuit according to an increased address code number obtained by the addition successive increments to the initial address code number until an address code number is achieved which corresponds to that of the full word in the memory circuit.
