摘要： A toner is provided including a colorant; a binder resin (A) which is a polyester resin having no tetrahydrofuran insoluble component, and having a molecular weight distribution such that components having a molecular weight of not greater than 500 are included in an amount of not greater than 4% by weight and a peak is present in a molecular weight range of from 3,000 to 9,000 when measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC); and a binder resin (B) which is a polyester resin having no tetrahydrofuran insoluble component, and including units of a polycarboxylic acid and a diol having the specific formula; wherein at least one of the binder resins (A) and (B) is prepared in the presence of the specific titanium-containing catalyst, and wherein a weight ratio ((A)/(B)) of the binder resin (A) to the binder resin (B) is from 60/40 to 85/15.

摘要： A subject of the present invention is to provide a novel aromatic five- or six-memberd heterocyclic derivative having 4-pyridylalkylthio as a substituent or a salt thereof which is useful as a pharmaceutical. Compound represented by the following general formula [I] or salts thereof are useful as therapeutic agents for diseases in which angiogenesis or augmentation of vascular permeability is involved. In the formula, ring “A” is a benzene ring or an aromatic five- or six-memberd heterocycle which can be fused with a cycloalkane ring, “B” is alkylene, R1 and R2, the same or different, are H, OH, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy and the like, X and Y, the same or different, are group(s) selected from H, halogen, OH, substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy and the like respectively, p is 0, 1 or 2, and q is 0 or 1.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including an image bearing member and a developing device configured to develop an electrostatic image on the image bearing member with a toner to form a toner image thereon and including a developing unit configured to develop the electrostatic image, and a toner cartridge configured to supply the toner to the developing unit through at least one opening, wherein the developing device circulates the toner between the toner cartridge and the developing unit through the at least one opening, and wherein the internal temperature of the hopper is higher than that of the cartridge and the ratio of a charge quantity distribution parameter of the toner under a condition of 45° C. and 54% RH to that under a condition of 25° C. and 54% RH is greater than 0.9 and less than 1.5.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, a developing unit configured to develop a latent image formed on the image bearer with a toner to form a toner image, and a transfer member including a contact area that comes in contact with the image bearer. The toner image is primary transferred from the image bearer to the transfer member. A speed difference between the image bearer and the transfer member at the contact area is 0.1% or greater but 0.8% or less. The toner has an average circularity of 0.971 or greater but 0.986 or less and a shape factor SF-2 of 110 or greater but 119 or less. The speed difference is represented by the following formula: Speed difference [%]={(V1−V2)/V2}×100  [Speed difference] where V1 is a linear speed of the image bearer, and V2 is a linear speed of the transfer member.
