Abstract:
Disclosed are a hair colouring device and method of its use. The device includes a top housing, a bottom housing movably engaged to the top housing at distal ends using an engagement mechanism that enables the device to alternate between a closed position and an open position, a first cartridge carrier for receiving a first colourant-filled cartridge, the first cartridge carrier being removably disposed within an opening provided on the top housing, a second cartridge carrier for receiving a second colourant-filled cartridge, the second cartridge carrier being removably disposed within an opening provided on the bottom housing, a pair of applicator tips, each of the applicator tips being disposed at a proximal end of the first cartridge carrier and the second cartridge carrier. The device allows accurate, non-messy and even application of the hair colouring composition to the selected one or more strands of hair more quickly and effectively.
Abstract:
The applicator includes a base, a first tooth and two teeth adjacent to the first tooth. The teeth protrude from a base end located on the base as far as a free end. The applicator includes a device to retain cosmetic product on the base, to connect the first tooth to each of the two adjacent teeth, with a mean thickness less than the mean thickness, taken over the height of the device to retain, of a tooth selected from the first tooth and the two adjacent teeth.
Abstract:
A hair folding and creasing brake device for creating pre-folded and creased triangular hair foils for dimensional hair color placement has a hinged sheet which is hinged so that foil sheets placed on its surface can be clamped and then bent to form a crease in the foil. A hair coloring foil is prepared by placing a foil or a pack of foils onto the device which is then folded over the foil to clamp the foil and then folded again to bend the foil to impart a crease to the foil.
Abstract:
A hair treatment process for providing dispersed colors by light diffraction including (a) coating the hair with a material comprising a polymer, (b) pressing the hair with a pressing device including one or more surfaces, and (c) forming a secondary nanostructured surface pattern on the hair that is complementary to the primary nanostructured surface pattern on the one or more surfaces of the pressing device. The secondary nanostructured surface pattern diffracts light into dispersed colors that are visible on the hair. The section of the hair is pressed with the pressing device for from about 1 to 55 seconds. The polymer has a glass transition temperature from about 55° C. to about 90° C. The one or more surfaces include a primary nanostructured surface pattern.
Abstract:
Applicator for capillary products (1) designed for simultaneously applying at least one or several colors onto one or several strands of hair, comprising a plurality of disposable cartridges (2), each cartridge comprising two compartments (5, 6) for storing two components designed for dyeing strands of hair. The applicator further comprises a container (10) capable of containing a plurality of cartridges.
Abstract:
The device (1) for creating hair bundle effects to a hair bundle (11) described herein comprises a first portion (10) movably joined to a second portion (20) by means of a connection (30). The second portion (20) is associated with a system (70) for bending a hair bundle (11) within a cavity (12) provided in the first portion (10). The system (70) for bending the hair bundle (11) consists of at least a first fin (71) and of a second fin (72). The free distal edge (712) of the first fin (71) points toward the free distal edge (722) of the second fin (72). The device (1) preferably comprises a first metering layer (81) and more preferably also a second metering layer (82) to achieve evenness during the application of a hair treatment composition (15) to hair.
Abstract:
A hair cosmetic article includes a composition A including an alkali agent; a composition B including an oxidizing agent; a composition C including a powdery oxidation assistant; and a hair cosmetic applicator including a container part (4) in which a hair cosmetic material (3) produced by mixing the compositions A, B and C and having a viscosity of 3 to 30 Pa·s at 30° C., an application part (2) by which the hair cosmetic material (3) is applied to a hair-bundle, and an extension part (5) having a liquid-leading passage (51) which communicates the container part (4) to the application part (2). The application part (2) includes a discharge port (21) and a comb part (23), and the comb part (23) includes a plurality of comb teeth (22) which are disposed substantially annularly so as to surround the discharge port (21).
Abstract:
A process for treating keratin fibres may include applying a hair treatment composition to the keratin fibres. The composition may comprise at least one of fatty substances, surfactants, polymers with a glass transition temperature (Tg) ranging from about 40° C. to about 150° C., oxidation dye precursors, and direct dyes. The process may also include inserting the keratin fibres into a device comprising two elements that are moveable relative to each other between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the two elements may define a substantially leaktight closed space. The process may further include moving the two elements into the closed position to confine the keratin fibres in the closed space, and heating the keratin fibres to a temperature ranging from about 40° C. to about 250° C. while the keratin fibres are confined in the closed space.
Abstract:
A cosmetic applicator for highlighting or imparting color to a user's hair includes upper and lower halves attached together by a hinge. Each half includes a rigid outer cap and a flexible connector surrounding and connecting the outer cap to a perimeter of the respective half. The cosmetic applicator further includes an applicator pad arranged in an interior of one of the upper and lower halves and a coloring material arranged in an interior of the other of the upper and lower halves. The flexible connector permits the outer caps of the respective upper and lower halves to be pressed inwardly toward one another so as to bring the applicator pad and the coloring material into engagement with one another.
Abstract:
A device for applying a cosmetic composition to keratinous fibers, for example the hair, the eyelashes, or the eyebrows, the device including: a support; and teeth that extend from the support; at least one tooth, or at least half of the teeth, including a longitudinal through slot that extends over a major fraction of the length of the tooth, the slot not opening out at a free end of the tooth, remote from the support.
