    摘要： This mechanical toothbrush produces a micro-stroke `shimmy` motion to a narrow-row soft bristle brush member. The handle part acts as a housing that holds the toothbrush stem and has two internal chambers; one of which holds a spring, the other inducts water into the hollow tubular stem of the toothbrush wherein said water will pass through to and wet the bristle brush member. The housing at the toothbrush stem end is contoured to prevent rotational motion of the toothbrush stem. The other end of the housing has a detatchable coupling to connect with a pulsed water driving source.

    摘要： An oral cavity cleaner including a pump unit for supplying a pulsating stream of high-pressure fluid, and a toothbrush unit connected thereto via a flexible conduit. The toothbrush unit includes an actuating member responsive to the pressure of the pulsating stream of fluid to provide a reciprocatory movement, a toothbrush connected to the actuating member, a valve section brought to an open position when the movement of the actuating member has exceeded a predetermined value, and an operating member for operating the valve section. The toothbrush can be automatically given a reciprocatory movement, and the high-pressure fluid can be ejected through the toothbrush or its ejection can be stopped as desired by manipulating the operating member while the toothbrush is being moved with a reciprocatory movement.

    摘要： A water-driven toothbrush and water-pick assembly is provided having a housing 1, a handle 3 pivotally attachable to the housing 1 and an elongated toothbrush arm with a brush 41 and water-pick outlet 43 at one end, attachable to the housing also. A water turbine rotor 11 in the housing 1 is connected to the arm 2 via an eccentric link 30 for converting rotary motion of the rotor 11 into agitating pivotal movement of the arm 2 and brush 41. The handle 3 can be pivoted between two positions in one of which water supplied to the handle 3 can be passed to the rotor 11 and exhausted from the handle 3 to actuate the toothbrush arm 2 only to clean a users teeth and in the other of which water supplied to the handle 3 can be passed to the water-pick outlet 43 only to provide a water jet for cleaning crevices between the users teeth.

    摘要： A Gliding, Mechanized Toothbrush is provided wherein a small box-like member, called the head, having a handle thereon, encloses a pair of brushes adapted to brush both sides of a tooth at the same time. The bristles of these brushes extend at an angle to the sides of the teeth whereby these bristles also enter and clean the sulcus area and embrasures. In the preferred embodiment of this invention, additional brushes clean the biting surfaces of the teeth. A handle is used to pull the head along a row of teeth. Preferably, the head is mounted on a swivel so that the head can be turned relative to the handle, facilitating brushing teeth in various parts of the mouth.
