    摘要: A control system for an acreage counter, controllable by an electrical logic condition, includes: a flip-flop having enable logic condition output upon being set, and an inhibit logic output upon being reset; an enable counter and an inhibit counter connected respectively to the set and reset inputs of the flip-flop; an enable clock and an inhibit clock connected respectively to the enable and inhibit counters; and sensors or switches connected to the respective counters and cooperating respectively with an operating lever or operating switches of an agricultural implement to actuate the associated counters upon change in the status of the operating controls. The clocks and counters function to delay setting or resetting of the flip-flop for a selected time so that minor adjustments may be made to the working position of the implement without falsely initiating or interrupting the acreage counter.

    摘要: An area measuring attachment for a linear conveyor is disclosed. The device is particularly adapted for area measurement of long, narrow objects having an irregular height and angular orientation, for example lumber, and particularly rough-cut lumber. The device includes an array of independently suspended, generally vertically oriented, freely rotating wheels. The wheels are equally spaced in a direction transverse to the direction of travel of the conveyor. Frictional contact between the wheels and the objects passing on the conveyor define the width and length of the objects. The wheels are pivotable about a first axis, generally transverse to the direction of travel of the conveyor, for accommodating objects having a warp or an irregular height. The wheels are also pivotable about a second axis, generally parallel to the direction of travel of the conveyor, for accommodating objects having irregular angular orientations. The wheels, in conjunction with their suspension apparatus, are adapted to produce electrical pulses representative of wheel rotation, and digital electronics are included for counting such pulses and generating an output in terms representative of the area or board footage of the objects passing on the conveyor.

    摘要: Apparatus for area measurement of elongated strips of different widths is described, which strips may be film to be treated, the strip to be measured preferably being initially delivered between driven rolls carried on parallel shafts, the strip passing over a driven roll having grooves at predetermined intervals, small freely rotatable rolls with peripheral projections such as rings thereon being provided which depress the strip into the grooves, the freely rotatable rolls being driven by engagement with the strip, the small rolls engaging actuation rolls having magnets carried therein to activate switches to generate pulses for counting by a counter to give an area indication and for other purposes, or the small rolls directly moving magnets for switch activation. The actuation rolls are preferably counterbalanced to reduce undesired unbalance.

    摘要: A system for indicating area traversed by a vehicular implement has a ground speed sensor for generating ground speed pulses at a frequency which is a function of the implement ground speed; a pulse generator for deriving fixed width pulses from said ground speed pulses; an integrator for accumulating the fixed width pulses to derive a positive slope dc signal whose instantaneous magnitude is an analog of distance traveled by the implement; a comparator for comparing the analog signal to a reference signal whose magnitude is an inverse function of the width of path traversed by the implement and for providing an output signal when the former becomes equal to the latter, whereby the output signal indicates that the implement has traversed an area equal to the distance traveled multiplied by the path width; and a counter for registering and displaying the number of output signals as an indication of area traversed. Preferably the width of the pulses applied to the integrator can be selectively varied by the implement operator to compensate for difference in gear ratios or wheel and tire sizes of different implement models.

    摘要: A system for generating electrical signals relating to the position and orientation of a part supported on a reference surface for use by manipulating devices includes an image converter tube which receives the light information from a test part and the surface. The scanned output of the tube is digitized and provided to a digital unit which isolates data representing the outline of the part in the direction of viewing. The system then calculates the centroid of the outlined area and a signature radius identifying the orientation of distinctive boundary transitions of the part relative to the centroid. Subsequently, similar parts supported on the reference surface are scanned by the video system and the digitized outputs are analyzed to calculate the position of the centroid of these parts relative to a reference location and the angular displacements of the parts relative to the rotational orientation of the test part.

The X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source to generate X-rays and irradiate an object with the generated X-rays, a collimator to adjust an emission region of the X-rays generated from the X-ray source, an X-ray detector to detect X-rays having passed through the object to acquire X-ray data, a touch sensor disposed above the X-ray detector, a compression paddle to compress the object placed on the touch sensor, and a collimator control unit to calculate location and size of the compressed object based on an output value of the touch sensor and control the collimator based on calculation results.
