    摘要： A ski binding includes a retainer for confining and supporting a ski boot. The retainer is pivotally mounted on a ski via a pivot located near the front of the binding. The retainer has a plate which is positioned near the front of the binding and serves to support a ski boot. The plate has a recess which accommodates a pair of springs. One end of each spring bears against a wall of the recess while the other end of each spring bears against a rod which extends into the recess. The end of the rod which is located outside of the recess is secured to a pivot which is located above or below the pivot for the retainer. The arrangement is such that the springs are stressed in tension or compression as the retainer is pivoted away from the ski thereby exerting a restoring moment on the retainer. The arrangement makes it possible to maintain the restoring moment essentially constant over the angular range which occurs during use. The springs are preferably stressed in compression in order to obtain increased life.

    摘要： In a cross-country or langlauf-ski binding having a sole plate, locking pins engageable with the sole of a ski boot and a clip locating the sole on the locking pins, there is provided a mechanism, enabling an easy and comfortable manipulation of the binding. For this purpose the sole plate comprises lateral mounting flanges with coaxial bearing holes and holding elements. These parts are cooperating in such a manner that they come into engagement during the insertion of the ski boot of a skier being automatically locked in this operative position. For releasing the binding the skier has only to press down a suitable release mechanism.

    摘要： A binding to releasably attach a boot to a ski which facilitates release of the boot with the heel of the boot fastened to the ski or with the heel of the boot free to rotate above the ski about the toe of the boot above the ski. The binding includes a pin assembly mountable to the ski and a socket assembly which rotatably and releasably engages the pin assembly and which receives and carries the toe of the boot. In operation, the boot is biased into the socket assembly and when a force is applied to the boot overcoming the bias, the boot is released from the ski to prevent injury to the skier.
