Abstract: A flush toilet in which a comparatively large storage region that stores a functional unit can be formed in a region in more rear side than a bowl of a toilet main body, while improving designability of the whole flush toilet is provided. A toilet main body of a flush toilet includes a skirt and a rear function storage portion, the skirt includes an opening, the opening being formed in a portion of an upper part of an outer wall of the skirt, the opening allowing the rear function storage portion inside the skirt to open toward outside the skirt, and a part of the functional unit stored in the rear function storage portion forms an outer surface to close the opening.

Abstract: There is provided a flush water tank apparatus capable of returning to a state where next toilet flush operation can be started in a short time while opening a discharge valve using a water supply pressure. A flush water tank apparatus (4) includes a reservoir tank (10), a discharge valve (12), a discharge valve hydraulic drive portion (14) configured to drive the discharge valve using a water supply pressure, and a discharge/vacuum break valve device (30) provided on an upstream side of the discharge valve hydraulic drive portion and configured to supply the water supplied from the upstream side to the discharge valve hydraulic drive portion on a downstream side. The discharge valve hydraulic drive portion includes a cylinder (14a) into which the water from the discharge/vacuum break valve device flows, and a piston (14b) configured to be moved by a pressure of the water flowing into the cylinder to move the discharge valve. The discharge/vacuum break valve device includes a valve body that operates to discharge the water flowing backward from the discharge valve hydraulic drive portion while opening the upstream side to an atmosphere when the supply of the water from the upstream side is stopped.

By using such toilet, the sewage accommodating bowl can be more cleanly and thoroughly flushed with the same water consumption, or a low-profile cistern design can be realized under the same water pressure requirement.

Abstract: At least one embodiment relates to a quick-coupling mechanism including a clamp spring configured to receive a valve body. The clamp spring is coupled to a release button configured to manipulate one or more arms of the clamp spring. The quick-coupling mechanism includes a base structure coupled to the toilet pedestal/bowl. The base structure is configured to hold the clamp spring in place. In a locking-state, the clamp spring seats in a groove in the valve body thus securing the valve body in place and preventing an axial movement of the valve body relative to the clamp spring. In a non-locking state, the release button bends the arms of the clamp spring outwardly to increase the diameter of the clamping portion, thus releasing valve body such that the valve body can move axially relative to the clamp spring.

Abstract: A method for securing a toilet tank to a toilet bowl through an attachment assembly. The method includes the steps of engaging a valve to the tank through an opening in the tank, moving a mounting bracket over the valve through an opening in the mounting bracket to position the mounting bracket adjacent to the tank, the mounting bracket having at least three mounting locations with fasteners attached thereto, coupling a valve nut to the valve to secure the mounting bracket between the tank and the valve nut, and securing the mounting bracket to the bowl through the fasteners. The at least three fasteners are disposed external to the tank and couple the tank to the bowl without directly engaging the tank.
