    摘要: Presented herein is a connector forming a joint between first and second surfaces. The connector includes a hollow male member embedded in a first surface. The male member has open ended protrusion extending therefrom. A hollow female member to be embedded in second surface. The female member has a mating opening for receiving the protrusion and a flexible sealing means for forming a fluid tight seal between the female and male members. When installed, a tendon forms part of the first surface and extends through protrusion into female member. Prior to grouting, movement of the tendon during settling of first surface is facilitated by the male and female member, without breaking the fluid tight seal formed by flexible sealing means. Also presented is a method of forming a joint between a vertical surface and a horizontal surface.

    摘要: A method of making a fiber reinforced hoop includes forming two plates having a face opposing one another and defining an outer periphery with a recessed groove to define a channel between the two plates. Fibrous strands coated with an adhesive are wrapped around the two plates within the channel a plurality of times. The adhesive is allowed to cure so that the fibrous strands form a rigid hoop. In a particular embodiment, the two plates are connected to a rotary spindle to rotate the two plates a plurality of times as the fibrous strands are fed into the channel. In a still further embodiment, multiple plate sets can be mounted to rotate with the spindle and fibrous strands can be wound into the channels in each of the plate sets so that multiple hoops can be formed and cured simultaneously.

    摘要: The described Concrete Form Brace With Multi-Depth Rebar Positioning is comprised of opposing attachment members, which secure the brace to the concrete form elements. The attachment members have a first top end, and a second bottom end. The corresponding bottom ends of the attachment members are connected by a spanning element, which spans the width of the concrete form. The attachment members and spanning element are further connected by a plurality of reinforcing struts. Rebar attachment means at multiple vertical depths within the concrete form are integrated or connected to the reinforcing struts to provide rebar securement means at multiple depths within the poured concrete. The preferred embodiment also features vertical spacing between horizontally placed rebar to accommodate “L” shaped vertical rebar placement for applications where vertical rebar is specified.

    摘要: A rebar positioner for being placed within an open core of a masonry block having an open core and an adjacent closed core separated by a web. A wire defines first and second laterally spaced-apart support elements adapted to extend over and be supported by the web of the block. End portions of the first and second support elements are adapted for extending into the enclosed core of the block. A rebar positioning segment defines at least one ring adapted for being positioned within the open core of the block and surrounding a section of vertically extending rebar positioned in the open core. The wire is bent such that the end portions of the first and second support elements are adapted for extending into the closed core at a level below an upper surface of the block and the at least one ring is adapted for extending into the open core at a level below the upper surface of the block.

The rebar tying tool includes a housing and a twisting motor, and may include a twisting mechanism that twists the wire around the plural rebars by the twisting motor. The twisting mechanism may include a screw shaft, a gripping member that grips the wire in cooperation with rotation of the screw shaft, a first reduction mechanism that reduces and transmits rotation of the twisting motor to a relay shaft, and a second reduction mechanism that reduces and transmits rotation of the relay shaft to the screw shaft. The first reduction mechanism may be a coaxial reduction mechanism, and the second reduction mechanism may be a parallel-axis reduction mechanism.
