The valve housing defines therein a valve inside space divided by a partition plate into two spaces communicating with the first port portion and the second port portion respectively. The partition plate has an electric valve opening, a positive pressure relief opening and a negative pressure relief opening separately from each other. When the positive pressure relief valve opens the positive pressure relief opening, a fluid flows only from the first port portion to the second port portion. When the negative pressure relief valve opens the negative pressure relief opening, the fluid flows only from the second port portion to the first port portion.

    摘要: A double shut-off refueling valve responds to a full fuel tank level by closing the recirculation line and the canister line. The valve includes at least one float having one or more sealing surfaces corresponding with the recirculation line and the canister line, respectively. The sealing surface is on the top of a float in the float valve. When the fuel in the tank reaches a full level, the float moves upward to close the recirculation line and the canister line substantially simultaneously. In one embodiment, the valve is a float valve having a coaxial seal where the two valve openings corresponding to the recirculation line and the canister line are arranged concentrically. In other embodiments, the sealing surfaces can be, for example, a ribbon seal, two separate sealing surfaces, or any other seal configuration that corresponds with the orientation of the recirculation line and the canister line within the fuel system.

    摘要: A yard hydrant has an elongated wet pipe with a plunger that seals against the inside of a well casing. Lifting a pivoting handle at the top of the wet pipe lowers the wet pipe which opens a normally closed supply valve. Pressurized water can then flow up the wet pipe and out of a nozzle head mounted to the upper end of the wet pipe. Lowering the handle pulls the wet pipe upward, thereby clearing it from the supply valve which is spring biased to shut off the water supply. The handle has a cam that positively actuates a normally closed anti-siphon valve so that water left in the wet pipe can fall under gravity to a collection chamber within the well casing beneath the piston. Lifting the handle again lowers the wet pipe and forces the water in the collection chamber back up the wet pipe. At the same time, the anti-siphon valve will close and the wet pipe re-opens the supply valve.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a ball valve with a shear stem which can be utilized in combination with a conventional ball valve or vented ball valve. The ball valve with a shear stem is utilized with a conventional ball valve or a vented valve assembly including a valve body having a vent hole therein. The ball valve defines a body having first and second flow-through ends with a valve member receiving chamber thereinbetween, and a collar defining a stem receiving passage communicating with the chamber. A valve member such as a ball or cylindrical plug is disposed within the chamber. The valve member has a throughbore therein in operable alignment with the first end second flow-through ends. The vented ball valve embodiment has at least one valve member vent hole through the wall of the valve member in flow communication with the throughbore. A shear stem extends through and is rotatably mounted within the stem receiving passage and engageable with the valve member for rotating the valve member in and out of flow-through alignment. The vented valve embodiment includes a venting means in cooperation with the shear stem providing selected flow communication with the atmosphere through the valve body vent hole, between the shear stem and stem receiving passage, through the chamber, and through said valve body vent hole to the flow-through ends. The shear stem includes a first lower continuous primary groove circumventing the stem for cooperative engagement with a primary O-ring providing a seal between the stem and the collar and a second higher continuous secondary groove circumventing the stem for cooperative engagement with a secondary O-ring. The continuous secondary groove is deeper, thicker, or shaped in a particular configuration in order to shear before the continuous primary groove in order to provide a safety means for preventing gas or liquid leakage due to shearing of the stem. In the vented ball valve embodiment the O-ring groove having an axial offset portion also serves to function as the primary groove to be used in combination with a circumferential secondary groove having a secondary O-ring. The conventional ball valve embodiment utilizes a pair of spaced apart circumferential grooves providing for a primary and secondary groove and O-ring arrangement.

    摘要: A fluid container draining device for draining fluid from a fluid container, such as an oil filter, in a controlled manner. It has a front threaded screw with a sharpened drill tip. It has an internal channel communicating between an opening at the forward end of the screw and a rear region of the threaded screw. A fluid valve is positioned at the rear region of the screw in fluid connection with the channel. The fluid valve provides fluid flow control between the interior of the fluid container and the outside of the fluid container. The fluid valve has an internally threaded front region which screws into the externally threaded rear region of the screw, and an externally threaded rear region, onto which a fluid evacuation line is to be attached. A turning portion for turning the device into the wall of the container is located on the device. The fluid valve is provided with a fitting for connection to a suction line to thereby permit fluid to be drained from the fluid container when it is coupled with a drain line, and which otherwise remains closed. When the device is drilled into the fluid container, its screw will penetrate the wall of the fluid container and enter the fluid containing region thereof. The fluid valve will only open up when it is connected to a coupler on a suction line, to prevent the accidental release of any of the fluid being drained.
