摘要: The present invention relates to a portable bag distending and supporting apparatus for holding a bag, such as a plastic leaf collector or trash collector, with the receiving end thereof in open position essentially perpendicular to a horizontal surface, thus to permit leaves and trash to be raked or swept into the interior of the bag. The device is characterized by a support mechanism which holds the receiving end of the bag against tilting without requiring the use of stakes or spikes embedded in the ground, the support apparatus in addition functioning at least partially to extend the bag in a lengthwise direction to facilitate filling. The device is further characterized by being constructed of inexpensive components which may be readily assembled by the user, thus reducing the bulk of the apparatus in shipping.

摘要: Various embodiments of a trash can assembly (e.g., a receptacle configured to receive refuse, recyclable materials, or otherwise), and related methods, are provided. Some embodiments of the trash can assembly include a body component and a lid configured to move between an open position and a closed position. In some variants, the lid can be moved between the open and closed positions by a power operated driving mechanism, such as a motor and/or other drivetrain components. In certain embodiments, the trash can assembly includes a clutch mechanism to facilitate manual operation of the lid while inhibiting or preventing damage to the motor and/or other drivetrain components.

摘要: An extender formed from at least one flat piece of material that has straight edges, that includes a body structure formed by attaching a first edge of the at least one flat piece of material to a second, opposing edge thereof. The body structure includes a wall defining an interior space extending therethrough and at least one dynamic portion configured to be manipulated to create a first fold portion and a second fold portion that inwardly extend into the interior space. The body structure is configured to be inserted into a garbage can to extend a capacity of the garbage can. As the body structure is further inserted into the garbage can, the at least one dynamic portion facilitates a change in shape of the wall so that at least a portion of the wall becomes more tapered the further the body structure is inserted into the garbage can.
