摘要： A power transmission pulley having a metal hub and grooved rim for receiving a belt with a plurality of adaptor rings of plastic material for incrementally changing the diameter of the pulley. Each ring has a circumferential rib on the inner periphery and a belt groove on the outer periphery. The adaptors are nested concentrically over the rim of the pulley. Each adaptor ring is axially assembled by circumferential stretching over the rim or previously assembled adaptor ring with the rib received in the belt groove.

摘要： The gearing consists of two pairs of toothed bevel discs with each pair being mounted on a shaft. A link chain engages both pairs of discs for power transmission between the shafts. Two tooth bolts are transversely displaceably supported in bores provided in each link in a way that they may be displaced with pressure directed inwardly on their tooth ends and are locked by pressure directed from other directions on the tooth ends. This is obtained by bores which closely fit the bolt on one side and are enlarged with respect to the bolt diameter on the other side of the link.

Further, a multi-step detent device comprising a spring biased pivotally mounted lever with detents therein is disposed between the fixed and the axially movable flange so that the displacement of the movable flange occurs in discrete steps to produce a ''''shifting'''' effect between low gear and high gear.

摘要： A variable speed sheave employing centrifugal flyweights actuating an axially movable sheave half, utilizes a replaceable washer to take the thrust of the weights, and offsetting or skewing the flyweights to avoid fixed wear tracks under the cams of the flyweights engaging the washer. A die-cast replaceable bushing is employed to support the flyweight pintals and thereby avoid expensive machining of the bearing parts. Six circumferentially spaced positions are provided for flyweights whereby either two, three, four or six flyweights may be employed without disturbing the dynamic balance of the sheave.
