    摘要： A perpetual calendar possessing the ability to display any date, past, present or future, in a finite range, and the day of the week for that particular date without prior knowledge or calculation, includes individually gear driven indicia belts for composing month and year dates and another indicia belt which is simultaneously gear driven with the movement of any one of the aforesaid indicia belts. A single drive gear for the aforesaid individually gear driven indicia belts is shiftable into driving engagement with a selected indicia belt by linear movement of a sliding indicator on the top panel of the calendar housing. The drive shaft for the single shiftable drive gear is turned by an external knob on one side of the calendar housing.

    摘要： A calculator for calculating check digits which are obtained from code numbers according to a modulus 10, modulus 11 or similar check. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the desired check digit original numerals are indicated in response to the determination of a code number and weights and the desired check digit is readily obtained from the sum of the check digit original numerals. In accordance with another embodiment, the desired check digit is directly indicated in response to the setting of a code number. In accordance with still another improved embodiment, the desired check digit according to the modulus 10 and that according to the modulus 11 are selectively indicated in response to the setting of a code number.

    摘要： A calculator of the type with successive digit or numeral wheels with improved carryover or transfer means between wheels. Transfer wheels are used between successive digit or numeral wheels. Each digit wheel has a finger or projection which picks up abutments on a transfer wheel for driving it and effecting the transfer or step movement. The transfer wheel has spaced abutments which are picked up by the projection on the digit or numeral wheel. These abutments on each transfer wheel are displaced angularly from ten predetermined stopping positions of the transfer wheel. When there are simultaneous transfers or carryovers of several digit wheels, there is a slight delay in the pick up of each transfer wheel for effecting the transfer with the result that the transfer takes place sequentially thereby eliminating the imposition of a sudden, heavy torque load on a single driving digit wheel.

    摘要： A wind velocity calculator has a primary vector member with a calibrated scale, a secondary vector member having a calibrated scale thereon movably connected with the primary vector member and a resulting vector member having a calibrated scale thereon movably connected with the primary vector member and the secondary vector member. The resulting vector member has defined regions of a pinching zone and a spinnaker zone. One embodiment of the calculator has a series of assembled plates. The two plates resting on the bottom plate have holes therein for disks to be held in the plates, these disks being rotatably held in the plates and each disk having a scale. Another embodiment has three ruler means each having a scale being pivotally and slideably connected together. Here the resulting vector member has a circular protractor means which has defined thereon a pinching zone and a spinnaker zone.

    摘要： The device of the invention is a small or miniature-adding machine capable of being held in one hand and manually operable to perform computations, particularly simple addition. The device comprises two small mechanical counters of known type. The counters are coupled together to operate simultaneously. Both are provided with manual reset in the form of a reset button. A gear drive is provided operable by a manually rotatable knob with a ratio of, for example, 10 to 1. To operate the knob is rotated with the thumb until a figure appears on one counter in the amount to be added. This amount is of course put into both counters. The first counter is then manually reset to zero with the button, the added amounts remaining on the second counter until the computation is completed and then the second counter is reset to zero.
