    摘要: An electrical implant or implant system includes an energy supply unit or is connected to an energy supply unit and includes at least one fixing device for permanently fixing the electrical implant or implant system to bodily tissue, or is connected to the fixing device. At least two implant components are releasably mechanically connected to one another. A first of the implant components includes at least parts of the fixing device. A second of the implant components includes an electromechanical component which, as a result of current drain or current feed, can swell in such a way that it causes a swelling at an outer contour of the electromechanical component at least at one point. The electromechanical component is disposed in such a way that a swelling of the electromechanical component results in a separation of the mechanical connection between the first and second implant components.

    摘要: An implantable leadless pacemaker (iLP) for a human or animal heart is provided that includes a housing, at least two electrode poles for picking up electrical potentials and/or delivering electrical stimulation, a stimulation control unit in connection with the electrode poles, a sensing unit that is in connection with at least one electrode pole, a signal processing unit in connection with the sensing unit, a signal evaluation unit in connection with the signal processing unit and/or the sensing unit, and an energy source. The sensing unit is configured to sense a first signal associated with an activity of the first heart chamber, and the stimulation control unit is configured to deliver electrical stimulation in the first heart chamber via the at least two electrode poles. The sensing unit is configured to sense a second signal associated with an activity of a second heart chamber.

    摘要: System, method, and tool for implanting an electrode cuff. The system can include a cuff and a slider implement, where the cuff is temporarily retained within and/or onto the slider implement by a retainer mechanism during implantation. The cuff can be structured to exhibit a natural rolled shape, but can be resiliently bendable so as to flex from the rolled shape while having a tendency to move back to the rolled shape. The cuff can be releasably secured to a portion of the slider implement, which may include holding the cuff in an unrolled shape. The cuff can then be positioned adjacent the nerve. The retainer mechanism can then be actuated to allow the cuff to advance towards its naturally rolled shape, thereby wrapping around the nerve.

    摘要: An implantable cardiac system that includes an implantable cardiac pacemaker or leadless pacemaker (iLP) and a second device such as a subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD). The pacemaker includes an R-spike amplifier that amplifies stimulated ventricle excitations or R-waves to increase R-wave to T-wave signal to noise ratio and to improve indirect detection of ventricular rhythm classification by the S-ICD. The S-ICD includes an electrode line for defibrillation, a sensing unit and a stimulation detection unit. The S-ICD records a subcutaneous electrocardiogram between shock electrode poles and provides potentially life-saving therapy based thereon. The system significantly increases the specificity and sensitivity of an S-ICD in combination with an implanted cardiac pacemaker or iLP having an R-spike amplifier.
