    Abstract: A drive circuit for driving an electro-optical device like an optically switchable glazing, e.g. a glass panel provided with a PDLC or SPD layer, comprises a set of input terminals for receiving an alternating input voltage at a first frequency; a set of output terminals for supplying an alternating output voltage at a second frequency; a control circuit generating a control signal dependent on an input signal, the input signal representing a charge state of the electro-optical device; and a current-direction circuit for controlling a current-flow direction of an electrical current in response to the control signal. The control circuit and the current-direction circuit are thereby configured to control the second frequency such that the electro-optical device is prevented from degradation, while keeping an energy consumption low.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening in a roof part, comprising a panel, and a first device for moving the rear side of the panel towards a raised position relative to the closed position and above an adjoining roof part. The control slide and the lifting member are guided by a guide rail having grooves and extending in longitudinal direction alongside the opening and below the adjoining roof part. A support lever cooperates with the control slide and supports the panel in positions in which it is above the adjoining roof part. The support lever is guided in the guide rail and is adapted to also pass through the passage opening. The support lever takes over support of the panel from an intermediate guide connection of the lifting lever and the intermediate guide connection is then disengaged from the guide curve in the control slide.

    Abstract: A roof system comprises a stationary part configured for a roof opening from above. A panel is configured to close the roof opening and open the roof opening. The stationary part includes a frame extending along at least a substantial part of a circumference of the roof opening and being attached to the fixed roof of the vehicle. Guide rails extend in longitudinal direction substantially parallel to opposite sides of the roof opening and substantially within the longitudinal length of the roof opening. The guide rails are slidably supporting an operating mechanism for the panel and are attached to the frame. The guide rails extend at least partly below the frame, at least in points of attachment where the guide rails are attached on their outer sides to the frame. The points of attachment are positioned below an area adjacent the longitudinal sides of the panel, when in closed position.

    Abstract: A method for positioning a movably arranged panel comprises the steps of determining a panel braking distance based on a physical property of the moveable panel and a physical property of at least one of a drive assembly and a drive motor. The panel braking distance corresponds to a distance covered by the moveable panel in a period of time starting from a decision to switch off the drive motor until stand-still of the moveable panel. The drive motor is switched off when an expected stop position is within a predetermined range around a desired stop position.

    Abstract: An open-roof assembly for a vehicle roof comprises a moveably arranged closure member, a drive assembly for moving the closure member and a control unit operatively coupled to the drive assembly. The control unit comprises a pinch detection unit for detecting a pinch of the closure member with an object. The pinch detection unit comprises a first pinch detection system and a second pinch detection system. The first pinch detection system is configured to detect a pinch with a soft object and the second pinch detection system is configured to detect a pinch with a hard object. The pinch detection unit is configured to adapt a configuration setting of the first pinch detection system upon detection of a pinch with a hard object by the second pinch detection unit to configure the first pinch detection system to detect a pinch with said hard object.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a frame and a panel capable of at least partly opening and closing an opening in a fixed roof. A drive motor in the vicinity of the rear edge of the opening and in the vicinity of a longitudinal center line of the opening comprises elongate drive members extending from its output shaft oppositely along the rear edge. An operating mechanism is movably connected between the frame near the rear edge and the rear edge of the panel. The operating mechanism includes two height-adjusting members on the frame, one on each lateral side of the drive motor and guided for a movement in lateral direction initiated by the drive members. Two height-adjustable members are immovably fixed to the panel and cooperate with the height-adjusting members which move along with the drive members so as to cause the height adjustment.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a panel for opening and closing an opening in the fixed roof of the vehicle by means of at least one lever assembly connected to the panel. A stationary frame is fitted in the opening of the fixed roof. A drive motor is placed in the vicinity of the rear edge of the opening and in the vicinity of a longitudinal center line of the opening. The drive motor comprises an output shaft having a center axis which is perpendicular to a center axis of a rotor shaft of the drive motor. The drive motor is connected to a motor support which is attached to the frame by means of vibration dampers. The motor support supports a separate gearbox which is capable of transferring the driving torque from the drive motor to the at least one lever assembly connected to the panel.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises at least a movable lever to which, by means of a pin-like member, a slide shoe is connected that, for defining a movement of the movable lever, cooperates with and moves longitudinally along a guide. The pin-like member at a first end is connected to said lever and at a second end is connected to said slide shoe and the guide and slide shoe are provided with at least one pair of cooperating guide part and slide shoe part. The pin-like member at its second end is provided with an enlarged head configured to engage the slide shoe at a side thereof facing away from the lever. The dimensions of the enlarged head are such that, as seen in a direction from the enlarged head towards the lever, at least part of said enlarged head overlaps at least one guide part.

    Abstract: A method for mounting a preformed seal on a substrate comprises the steps of providing the preformed seal at a predetermined position relative to the substrate, at least a part of the preformed seal being spaced at a distance from the substrate; arranging a mold in contact with the substrate and the preformed seal, wherein the mold holds the preformed seal at the predetermined position and wherein the mold, the substrate and the preformed seal delimit a mold cavity. Further, the method comprises at least partially filling the mold cavity with a solidifiable composition, wherein the solidifiable composition is in contact with the substrate and the preformed seal bridging the distance; and solidifying the solidifiable composition, whereby the solidifiable composition forms a molded part adhering to the preformed seal and to the substrate. The preformed seal and the solidifiable composition are configured to adhere to each other.

    Abstract: A roof system comprises a panel movable between closed and open positions. An operating mechanism comprises front and rear devices. A slide moves the panel both in vertical and horizontal directions via the front and rear devices. At least one of the front and rear devices comprises a lever connected to the slide or the stationary rail through a second pivot pin. A first guide cam is at least partly in engagement with either a stationary guide and/or a curve in the slide. The slide includes a first and second slide part are pivotally connected to each other. One of the slide parts, that is pivotally and slidably connected to said lever, includes a cam engaging a guide curve in the stationary guide rail to force said one slide part to pivot with respect to the other slide part during at least a part of the sliding movement of the slide.
