摘要: In a digital image forming apparatus, the intensity or the pulse width of laser beam exposure is modulated according to image signals of a document detected by a sensor. A peak waveform having a peak is generated in each light-emitting period of laser beam. For example, and a signal having a peak is synthesized with the image signals to generate the peak waveform. Thus, the laser is driven according to the peak waveforms so that the exposed portions on a photoconductor in correspondence to the peaks are exposed with a larger quantity of light at low densities. Then, the amount of the gamma correction can be decreased and the gradation characteristic can be stabilized.

摘要: The inventive fabric treatment agent can impart excellent hydrophilicity to fabric materials of, in particular, synthetic fibers with durability and launderability. The principal ingredient of the agent is a copolymer composed of three types of moieties including (a) a diorganopolysiloxane terminated at both molecular chain ends each with a non-silanolic hydroxy group or other active hydrogen-containing group, e.g. --SH, --COOH and --NH.sub.2, (b) a polyol compound having polyoxyalkylene linkages which is typically a polyoxyethylene glycol and (c) a diisocyanate compound which serves as a coupling agent between the moieties (a) and (b).

摘要: An OLT includes an OLT control unit that generates a control signal for controlling a power saving operation of an ONU by specifying a different idle period with respect to a first power saving operation in which an optical receiver is operated while an optical transmitter of the ONU is controlled to a power saving state and a second power saving operation for controlling the optical transmitter and the optical receiver to the power saving state, and a station-side transmitter that transmits the control signal generated by the OLT control unit to the ONU. The ONU includes an ONU control unit that receives the control signal via the optical receiver to selectively perform the first power saving operation and the second power saving operation based on the idle period specified by the control signal.

摘要: The control device includes a power-saving control unit that intermittently repeats, based on a power saving permission signal transmitted from the master station apparatus, power saving control in which the slave station stops or reduces power supply to a transmitter or a receiver for a predetermined pause duration while maintaining a communication link and a monitoring unit that monitors out of synchronization by comparing a synchronization signal received from the OLT and a time of the ONU. The control device shifts from a registered state to a deregistered state when the monitoring unit detects the out of synchronization. On the other hand, after the pause duration of the power saving control, the control device suppresses the shift to the deregistered state due to the detection of the out of synchronization.

摘要: A communication device, which provides a bandwidth allocation opportunity to ONUs each having different data transmission rates, not depending on any specific bandwidth-request notifying method, thereby realizing fair upstream transmission data delay between data transmission rates of respective ONUs, includes a bandwidth-update-cycle division processor that divides the bandwidth update cycle into slots of each of the data transmission rates, a bandwidth-allocation-amount calculating unit that allocates a bandwidth to the slave station devices in a slot of the data transmission rate, and a transmission-start-time calculating unit that sets a transmission start time and a transmission time of data of the slave station devices, based on an overhead length of a data frame transmitted by the slave station devices.
