摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for client-side callbacks to server events in which a Web server receives a message indicating a client-side event. The client-side event is associated with a specific component of a client resource, the specific component being one of multiple static components of the client resource. A server-side component generates a response to the received message and implements at least a subset of logic of the specific component. In generating the response to the message, server-side logic corresponding to other static components that are different than the specific component are not used.

摘要: In a distributed computing system including at least one server and at least one client, the server simulates and executes a client-side script that generates the initial content of a Web page. Specifically, the server simulates a client-side execution environment to run the client-side script that generates the initial content of the Web page. As a result, the initial rendering of the Web page that a server sends over to the client already contains the initial content that is usually generated on the client.

摘要: Systems and methods for data controls architecture are described. In one aspect, a data source control exposes an interface for generic access to a data store. A data-bound control implements the interface to automatically databind to the data store at an appropriate time during runtime operations of the data-bound control.

摘要: Systems and methods that implement interactivity as part of a workflow itself. Data is passed in and out of the workflow to form an interactive workflow, via employing an interactive activity component. Such interactive activity component models suspension points within a workflow definition, wherein user input and associated interaction can be supplied to the workflow during various interactivity breaks that request user input. Such an arrangement enables a controlled/synchronous data exchange between the workflow and a host application associated therewith.

摘要: A workflow container defines boundaries within which a user interface appears on a page. The workflow container may change what is displayed on the user interface based on a current state of the workflow. Each workflow container maintains an independent association with a workflow that drives the user interface. The workflow is associated with the workflow container at a control level such that multiple workflows may be independently executed on the same page concurrently or separately.

摘要: Web content administration information can be discovered by users through using an administration tool that provides a way for web sites and/or applications to automatically provide the administration tool with information on how to connect to the administration service. A user specifies a URI that is associated with a content source for which administrative services are desired. The administration tool queries the content source for administration information that is associated with the desired administration services. The administration tool typically forms a URI in response to the administration information such that the URI determines a connection (or connection information) to the administration service that is associated with the determined administration information.

摘要: A verification tool applies a set of rules to determine whether an application object is rule compliant when a condition associated with the object is met. The verification tool determines whether the object is associated with a rule compliant property value. If the property value does not comply with the rule, then the rule has been violated and an error message is issued. The rule corresponds to settings implemented by a developer on the component. Thus, the developer is informed when at least one property value associated with the object does not comply with the corresponding rule. Feedback is provided about which specific object is not rule compliant such that the component may be modified to be rule compliant.
