Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a processor that upsamples a vibration signal. The processor determines a correlation value. The correlation value may be based on a microphone signal, the upsampled vibration signal, or both. The processor determines filter coefficients. The filter coefficients may be determined based on the correlation value being above a threshold. The filter coefficient may be based on the upsampled vibration signal. The processor filters the vibration signal based on the filter coefficients to remove a noise portion and obtain a processed microphone signal. The processor outputs the processed microphone signal.

Abstract: An image capture device includes a sensor, a microphone array, and a processor. The microphone array may include a first microphone, a second microphone, a third microphone, or any combination thereof. The first microphone may be configured to face a first direction. The second microphone may be configured to face a second direction. The second direction may be diametrically opposed to the first direction. The third microphone may be configured to face a third direction. The third direction may be substantially perpendicular to the first direction, the second direction, or both. The processor may be configured to determine a microphone capture pattern and detect wind noise. The microphone capture pattern may be determined based on data obtained from the sensor. The sensor data may include image data, audio data, image capture device orientation data, location data, accelerometer data, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: An electronic device may use differential microphone arrays for beamforming. The electronic device may include a first microphone for obtaining a first microphone signal and a second microphone for obtaining a second microphone signal. The electronic device may include a processor to process the microphone signals to obtain frequency bins. The processor may apply delay coefficients to the frequency bins of the microphone signals to obtain a delayed signal. The delay coefficients may be based on a phase difference between the microphone signals. The phase difference may be a function of frequency. The processor may be configured to combine the delayed signal with the first microphone signal or the second microphone signal to obtain a beamformed signal. The electronic device may include a memory to store the beamformed signal.

Abstract: An image capture device with dynamic wind noise compression tuning techniques is described. A technique includes detecting of the presence of wind noise by measuring coherence between at least two microphones. For a compressor, adjusting a default compression threshold and default compression parameters based on the coherence measurements. For each microphone, applying by the compressor the adjusted compression parameters when an audio signal is above the adjusted compression threshold and applying the default compression parameters when the audio signal is below the adjusted compression threshold.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing a plurality of audio signals. A device receives the plurality of audio signals in the frequency domain and determining an overall attenuation multiplier based on the plurality of audio signals and an overall lookup table that relates decibel values to different overall attenuation multipliers. The device determines an attenuation vector comprising a plurality of bin-specific attenuation multipliers, each bin-specific attenuation multiplier respectively corresponding to a different frequency bin of the plurality of frequency bins. The device scales each bin-specific attenuation value in the attenuation vector with the overall attenuation multiplier, and edits each of the audio signals based on the scaled bin-specific attenuation values in the attenuation vector.

Abstract: A camera includes one or more microphone pairs. A first microphone (e.g., a main microphone) is ported to the outside of the camera and captures the desired external audio signal, but may also capture undesired vibrational noise. A second microphone has a similar structure to the first microphone, but is not ported to the outside of the camera. Instead, the second microphone is ported into an enclosed cavity (e.g., 1-2 cubic centimeters in volume). The second microphone may pick up the same vibration excitation and internal acoustic noise as the first microphone but very little of the desired external acoustic sounds around the camera. The unwanted noise can then be removed by subtracting the second audio signal from the second microphone from the main audio signal from the main microphone.

The image capture device includes a front facing microphone configured to capture an audio signal. The front facing microphone co-located with at least one optical component. The image capture device further includes a processor configured to generate a forward facing beam using the audio signal captured by the front facing microphone and the audio signal captured by the at least one non-front facing microphone, generate an omni beam using the audio signal captured by the at least one non-front facing microphone, and output an audio signal based on the forward facing beam and the omni beam.

Abstract: An audio capture system for a sports camera includes at least one “enhanced” microphone and at least one “reference” microphone. The enhanced microphone includes a drainage enhancement feature to enable water to drain from the microphone more quickly than the reference microphone. A microphone selection controller selects between the microphones based on a microphone selection algorithm to enable high quality in conditions where the sports camera transitions in and out of water during activities such as surfing, water skiing, swimming, or other wet environments.
