    摘要: The invention relates to a fading frequency estimating apparatus that performs a predetermined signal processing on a radio frequency signal that arrives through a radio transmission channel, to estimate a frequency of fading occurring on the radio transmission channel. An object of the present invention is to quickly and accurately estimate a fading frequency without need to use a very complicated structure. The fading frequency estimating apparatus includes a frequency analyzing section obtaining at two instances a frequency spectrum of a sequence of differences in instantaneous values of envelop of signals that chronologically arrive through the radio transmission channel, the two instances apart from each other with an interval necessary for a characteristic of the radio transmission channel to be steady, and it includes an estimating section estimating a frequency of fading to be such a frequency that the magnitude of the frequency spectrum is to be maximum.

    摘要: A check matrix generation method for generating a check matrix H1 of a code H1 from a check matrix H0 of a code C0, where codes C0 and C1 are LDPC systematic codes having different encoding ratios in a rate-compatible relationship and information bit sizes of the systematic codes C0 and C1 are K, and parity bit sizes thereof are M0 and M1 (M1−M0=L) respectively. The method comprising steps of: selecting L number of rows out of the check matrix H0; separating an information bit portion and a parity bit portion constituting each of the selected rows into two respectively, such that each of the separated information bit portions includes one or more non-zero elements which are “elements different from 0”; creating a new first row by coupling one separated information bit porting and one separated parity bit portion and creating a new second row by coupling another separated information bit portion and another separated parity portion; and generating the check matrix H1 of the systematic code C1 by placing the new first and second rows in place of each of the selected L number of rows in the check matrix H0.

    摘要: A transmission circuit transmits a connection request including a “signature” to a base station. The demodulator demodulates the AICH for transmitting a notification corresponding to the connection request. When requested communications are enabled, the AICH transmits the “signature”. A multiplier multiplies a demodulation signal by the “signature”. A voltage computation unit converts the output of the multiplier into a voltage value. An integrator integrates the voltage value computed by the voltage computation unit for each received symbol for the respective symbols corresponding to the “signature”. A threshold generation unit adaptively selects one of a threshold determined based on the noise of a transmission path or a threshold determined based on the receiving power. If the output of the integrator is larger than the selected threshold, it is determined that the communications have been enabled.
