摘要： A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal panel including sub-pixels and a back light for irradiating light to the back surface of liquid crystal panel. A transmission sub-pixel can be switched into an image display state which can allow irradiated light to exit, and a black display state which does not allow irradiated light to exit. A mirror sub-pixel can be switched between a mirror state which can allow reflected light to exit and a non-mirror state which does not allow reflected light to exit, independently of the transmission sub-pixel. A control unit places each transmission sub-pixel into the image display state or black display state, and places each mirror sub-pixel into the mirror state or non-mirror state.

The method also includes generating a completed tax form including the first value in the first field, generating a visualization corresponding to the first field which graphically depicts a relationship between the first value and the first response and the second response, and displaying the completed tax form and the visualization on a display device with the completed tax form depicting a relationship between the visualization and the first value.

摘要： A crankshaft is normally and reversely rotated at a constant speed, during which the singular points of crankshaft driving motor current responding to the drive torque change of the crankshaft are detected. A crankshaft rotational angle reference point is set based on the midpoint between the crankshaft rotational positions obtained when, among these singular points, singular points having the same type appear during the respective normal and reverse rotations. Therefore, the crankshaft rotational angle reference point can be reliably set regardless of the variations and errors.

摘要： A communications transmitter configured to reduce the average-to-minimum magnitude ratio (AMR) of a communications signal includes a symbol mapper, a pulse-shaping filter, an AMR reduction circuit, and a modulator. The symbol mapper operates to generate a sequence of symbols from a binary-source data stream containing a message to be transmitted, and the pulse-shaping filter generates a baseband signal based on the sequence of symbols. The AMR reduction circuit is configured to compare a magnitude of a local minimum of samples of the baseband signal to various magnitude threshold levels, and to modify the baseband signal in one of two manners depending on the relationship of the magnitude of the local minimum and the various threshold levels. Finally, the modulator operates to modulate a carrier signal based on the modulation information contained in the modified baseband signal.

In a first display function layer, voltages applied to two cholesteric liquid crystal layers when an erasing voltage is applied between a pair of electrodes are defined as V1, V2, respectively, and threshold voltages with which the cholesteric liquid crystal layers change to the homeotropic alignment are defined as Vth1, Vth2, respectively. In that case, in a state the voltages V1 and V2 are determined according to only each resistance of the cholesteric liquid crystal layers and resistance of a photoconductive layer, i.e., a sufficient time has passed from a point at which the erasing voltage is applied, V1≧Vth1 and V2≧Vth2 apply.
