摘要： Compounds of the formulae wherein, provided that at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is not a hydrogen atom, R1, R2 and R3 each, independently of the other, is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl, and wherein R1 and R2 can also be alkoxy, aryloxy, arylalkyloxy, alkylaryloxy, polyalkyleneoxy, polyaryleneoxy, polyarylalkyleneoxy, polyalkylaryleneoxy, silyl, siloxane, polysilylene, polysiloxane, or a group of the formula wherein r and s are integers representing a number of repeat —CH2— groups, and wherein X is a direct bond, oxygen, sulfur, —NR40— wherein R40 is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl, or —CR50R60— wherein R50 and R60 each, independently of the other, is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl, and R10 and R11 each, independently of the other, is alkylene, arylene, arylalkylene, or alkylarylene, and wherein R10 can also be polyalkyleneoxy, polyaryleneoxy, polyarylalkyleneoxy, polyalkylaryleneoxy, silylene, siloxane, polysilylene, or polysiloxane.

摘要： Disclosed is a printing process which comprises (1) incorporating into an acoustic ink jet printing apparatus an ink composition comprising (a) an ink vehicle which comprises a bis(carbamate) of the formula wherein R1 is an alkylene group and R2 and R3 each, independently of the other, are alkyl groups or alkylene oxide or polyalkylene oxide groups of the formula —(CnH2nO)yH, wherein n is an integer of 2 or 3 and y is an integer representing the number of repeat alkylene oxide units, (b) a colorant, (c) an optional conductivity enhancing agent, (d) an optional antioxidant, (e) an optional UV absorber, (f) an optional clarifier, (g) an optional tackifier, (h) an optional adhesive, and (i) an optional plasticizer, (2) melting the ink, and (3) causing droplets of the melted ink to be ejected by acoustic beams in an imagewise pattern onto a recording sheet.

摘要： A process for the preparation of fluorescent toner compositions comprising(i) preparing a pigment dispersion in a solvent, which dispersion is comprised of a pigment or dye, an ionic surfactant and optionally a charge control agent;(ii) shearing the pigment dispersion with a latex mixture comprised of a counterionic surfactant with a charge polarity of opposite sign to that of said ionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and resin particles, thereby causing a flocculation or heterocoagulation of pigment, resin particles and charge control agent to form electrostatically bound toner size aggregates; and(iii) heating the statically bound aggregated particles to form said toner composition comprised of polymeric resin, pigment and optionally a charge control agent, and wherein the pigment or dye is excitable by ultraviolet light in the frequency range of from about 254 to about 366 nanometers and fluoresces in the visible spectrum of from about 400 to about 700 nanometers.
