    Abstract: The light emitting portions 140 are mounted on the substrate 120, and emit neutralization light.     Abstract: A control portion makes a recording head perform flushing processing every time a flushing area that does not overlap a recording medium faces the recording head but makes the recording head perform no flushing processing when a flushing area that at least in a part of it overlaps a recording medium faces the recording head. The longer a non-flashing period between the previous and present sessions of flushing processing, the larger the control portion makes the amount of ink ejected by each of nozzles in the present session of flushing processing.

    Abstract: A cleaning device includes a separation and contact mechanism that separates a web from a conveyance roller and brings the web into contact with the conveyance roller, and a controller. The controller includes a conveyed sheet number determination unit and a separation and contact control unit. The conveyed sheet number determination unit monitors a conveyed sheet number of both-surface image forming sheets where image forming processing is applied to both a first surface and a second surface with respect to the sheets conveyed by the conveyance roller, and determines whether or not a cumulative value of the conveyed sheet number has reached a predetermined threshold value. The separation and contact control unit controls the separation and contact mechanism so as to allow the web to be pressed to the conveyance roller by a pressing roller when the cumulative value of the conveyed sheet number has reached the threshold value.

    Abstract: A sheet guide of an image forming apparatus includes a first upstream guide member and a first downstream guide member.     Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes a control section, a conveyance section, a recording head, a negative pressure applying section, a gap forming section, and a first voltage applying section. The conveyance section conveys a recording medium placed on a conveying surface. The negative pressure applying section applies negative pressure to holes in the conveying surface to suck the recording medium onto the conveying surface. The gap forming section forms a narrow gap, with the conveying surface, further upstream in a conveyance direction of the recording medium than the recording head. The gap forming section is composed of at least a part of a conductive portion. The first voltage applying section applies a voltage to the conductive portion. The control section controls the first voltage applying section to apply the voltage to the conductive portion while the inkjet recording apparatus performs a specific process.
