An image display system which provides first and second images such that the right eye and the left eye of an observer see the first and second images at different times, respectively. The image display system comprises a camera for taking a picture of the observer and then outputting an image of the observer; a liquid crystal display device transparent to light, for displaying the first and second images at the different times, respectively; a back-lighting device which displays back light images to illuminate the liquid crystal display device from a back side thereof, at the different times; and an optical element for giving directivity to back light emitted by the back-lighting device so that the back-lighting device provides back light illuminations of the LCD device for the right and left eyes at the different times. The apparatus detects centroids or contours of images of the observer taken by the camera, and generates the back-light images on the basis of the centroids or contours. The apparatus synchronizes the display of the back-light images with the display of the first and second images, respectively.

There is disclosed a semiconductor integrated circuit device in which a semiconductor integrated circuit substrate provided with an electromagnetic coil from which lead wires are drawn out is movably arranged within a magnetic field. When a current is caused to flow in the magnetic coil through the conductors, a force in the direction of a magnetic field is exerted on the electromagnetic coil. Thus, this semiconductor integrated circuit device can operate as an actuator allowing the entirety of the substrate to be movable in either a positive or a negative direction the magnetic field. When the substrate is moved interlocking with a measurement object, an induced current flows in the electromagnetic coil. Accordingly, by measuring this current, it is possible to operate this device as a sensor capable of measuring changes in the physical quantity, etc. of the measurement object.

A digitized quasi-phase synchronous phase detecting signal of the PSK signal is used to generate digitized quasi-synchronous phase detecting signal phase-corrected by phase correcting data and a first phase display data indicating the phase of the carrier of the PSK signal is generated from the phase-corrected digitized quasi-synchronous phase detecting signal. Alternatively, the digitized quasi-synchronous phase detecting signal of the PSK signal is used to generate second phase display data indicating the phase of the carrier of the PSK signal and third phase-corrected phase display data is generated from the second phase display data. The first or third phase display data is used to generate fourth phase display data indicating the phase assigned to the code of the PSK signal and a decoded digitized code is generated from the fourth phase display data. When signal presence display information is in its state to indicate the amplitude of the PSK signal is larger than a predetermined threshold, the frequency and phase of the carrier of the PSK signal are predicted using their estimated frequency and phase based on the first or second and fourth phase display data. When the signal presence display information transitions to its state to indicate that the amplitude of the PSK signal is smaller than the predetermined threshold, the frequency and phase estimated until then are used to predict the frequency and phase of the carrier of the PSK signal and phase data in the predicted frequency and phase data is generated as the phase correcting data.

A point where electric field concentration on the surface of the lightning receptor is greatest is moved from the boundary to the tip of the lightning receiving protrusion, so as to significantly reduce a possibility of blade damage associated with lightning striking the boundary when being stroke by the lightning.
