    摘要: A plurality of image input devices and a plurality of image output devices are connected to a system bus and an image bus of an image processing system through an external device control unit. In response to an instruction supplied, the image input devices and the image output devices are directly connected with each other through the external device control unit without the intermediary of the image processing system, whereby inputted data can be processed. When the instruction includes an instruction indicating that the number of outputs from the image output devices is plural, the inputted image data is temporarily stored in an image memory of the image processing system. A plurality of outputs of image data are obtained from the image output devices based on the stored image data. Consequently, if the image input device is an image reader for example, scanning of the document is required only once even in a multicopy mode.
