    摘要: A display device includes first and second voltage generation circuits each including a voltage circuit for outputting an internal voltage on the basis of a plurality of clocks, a sampling circuit for sampling an output signal from the voltage circuit, a monitoring circuit for comparing an output signal from the first sampling circuit with a predetermined voltage range and outputting a result, and a power supply generation circuit for generating a power supply voltage to be input to the voltage circuit on the basis of an output signal supplied from the monitoring circuit. The voltage circuit in the first voltage generation circuit is controlled on the basis of a level of the power supply voltage, and the voltage circuit in the second voltage generation circuit is controlled on the basis of periods of the clocks.

    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can reduce the difference in brightness between an image obtained from a reflection region and an image obtained from a transmission region. The liquid crystal display device includes a pixel electrode and a counter electrode in each pixel region on a liquid-crystal-side surface of one substrate out of respective substrates which are arranged to face each other with liquid crystal therebetween. The pixel region includes a transmission region and a reflection region. A gap between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode in the reflection region is set larger than the gap between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode in the transmission region.

    摘要: The present invention provides a display device which is capable of fetching input signals of a small amplitude into the inside thereof. A level converting circuit includes a first-conductive-type first transistor having a gate electrode to which input signals are applied through a first capacitive element, a second-conductive-type second transistor having a gate electrode to which input signals are applied through a second capacitive element, a first bias circuit which applies a first bias voltage to the gate electrode of the first transistor and a second bias circuit which applies a second bias voltage to the gate electrode of the second transistor. Here, the first bias voltage is a voltage which turns off the first transistor when a voltage applied to the gate electrode of the first transistor assumes a maximum value and the second bias voltage is a voltage which turns off the second transistor when a voltage applied to the gate electrode of the second transistor assumes a minimum value.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device is provided with a pixel area on a substrate having plural gate lines, plural drain lines, plural thin film transistors and plural pixel electrodes corresponding to the plural thin film transistors, and a drive circuit area disposed at a periphery of the substrate and having a drive circuit for driving the plural thin film transistors. The thin film transistor has a polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer formed on the substrate, a gate electrode formed on the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer with a gate insulating film interposed therebetween, an insulating film to cover the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer, the gate insulating film and the gate electrode, a drain electrode formed on the insulating film and electrically connected to the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer, and a source electrode formed on the insulating film, spaced from the drain electrode and electrically connected to the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer. The unevenness of a surface of the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer is within 10% of a thickness of the polycrystalline silicon semiconductor layer.
