摘要： Disclosed herein is a newly identified SDF-1 splice variant molecule, its polypeptide sequence, and the polynucleotides encoding the polypeptide sequence, and active fragments thereof. Also provided is a procedure for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques employing, for example, vectors and host cells. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing such polypeptides and modulators thereof for the treatment of diseases, including cancer, immune diseases, infectious diseases, and ischemic diseases.

摘要： The invention provides FGFR fusion proteins, methods of making them, and methods of using them to treat proliferative disorders, including cancers and disorders of angiogenesis. The FGFR fusion molecules can be made in CHO cells and may comprise deletion mutations in the extracellular domains of the FGFRs which improve their stability. These fusion proteins inhibit the growth and viability of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. The combination of the relatively high affinity of these receptors for their ligand FGFs and the demonstrated ability of these decoy receptors to inhibit tumor growth is an indication of the clinical value of the compositions and methods provided herein.

摘要： Modulators of phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2C and other polypeptides, highly expressed in cancers as compared to normal tissues, are provided for treatment of proliferative disorders such as cancer. A method is provided for detecting polypeptides that are overexpressed in cancer, whereby antibodies or binding proteins that specifically recognize these molecules are contacted with a patient's bodily fluid. The method provides an early diagnosis of cancer, and can detect recurrence and metastasis following an initial diagnosis. The invention further provides methods of treating cancer with therapeutic agents directed toward these protein and peptide biomarkers.
