摘要: A seat cushion of a seat, which can avoid creation of wrinkle or crease in an area of a trim cover element corresponding to a lateral side of the seat cushion, irrespective of a downward load applied to the seat cushion, thereby making it possible to maintain an outer appearance of the seat cushion in a good quality condition. In a surface of a recessed region of a padding forming a part of the seat cushion, defined flexible portions are formed to be flexed in an inward direction by a downward load applied thereto. Non-bonding areas are defined between the trim cover element and the flexible portions.

摘要: A vehicle seat with a child seat may have an engagement member, comprising anchors to hold the child seat. Each anchor may have a pair of left and right side bars and a front bar coupled to the side bars. The front bars are engaged with the engagement member. The side bars are secured by brackets to a connecting pipe of the seat cushion or the seatback. Each recess may be made in a pad. A trim cover may have openings each above the recess. The engagement member may have a bifurcated shape and has a groove engaged with the front bar. The connecting members, having one end connected to a trim cover terminal behind the opening and the other end engaged with the bracket, may be wound around the connecting pipe and stretched between the bracket and the trim cover terminal, each drawing the terminal into the recess.

摘要: Vehicle seat including: a seat back pivoted to a side of floor; a seat cushion pivoted to the seat back; and a front leg element having an upper end pivoted to the seat cushion and a lower end pivotally locked to the side of floor in a releasable manner, thus normally providing a four-pivotal-point linkage in the seat. Maintaining the four-pivotal-point linkage adversely restricts design and actions of the seat. Inequality conditions are therefore set in that four-pivotal-point linkage, such that folding down the seat back by an angle exceeding a predetermined angle results in unlocking of the lower end of the front leg element from the side of floor, thereby destroying the four-pivotal-point linkage. Hence, a freedom of design is increased for the seat and floor. Further, leverage mechanism(s) may be provided to facilitate the ease of unlocking the front leg element from the side of floor.

Each of the anchors may comprise left and right side bars and a front bar connecting front ends of the side bars and is U-shaped, each of the bezels is box-shaped, has an upper and lower flaps formed integral and defining a bottom wall of the bezel, and covers the pad recess, providing a space in the pad recess located behind the flaps, each front bar is located in front of or behind the flaps, and each of the engagement members provided on the child seat is able to engage with the anchor.

摘要: A seating apparatus for a vehicle, in which a seat cushion supported on the vehicle body by a link member can be flipped up toward the front of the vehicle from a use position and which includes a locking mechanism that operates only when the seat cushion is acted upon by an inertial force greater than a predetermined force in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, to temporarily prevent the seat cushion from flipping up. The locking mechanism includes a locking plate supported on the seat cushion and rockable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a normal position and a rocked position, and a spring for urging the locking plate toward the normal position. The locking plate locks the seat cushion to the link member when it is moved inertially to the rocked position against the force of the spring, to prevent the seat cushion from flipping up, and the locking plate unlocks the seat cushion when it is located in the normal position.

摘要: A seat cushion is arranged on a riser. A strut is coupled, at lower end, to the rear end of the riser, and is provided at the back of the seat cushion. The seatback is secured to the strut, and is isolated from the seat cushion. The seatback and the seat cushion can therefore move, independent of each other. The seatback or the seat cushion, or both are lifted or lowered by a lifting/lowering means. Thus, the seatback and the seat cushion are lifted or lowered relative to each other. The lower half of the seatback, which supports the hips and lower ribs in the main, is made narrow than the upper half that supports the shoulder blades in the main. The seat cushion has, in the middle part of the rear end, a U-notch which loosely holds the narrow lower half.

摘要: A structure of a headrest mounted on a seat, wherein the headrest has, provided at the bottom surface thereof, an under garnish made of a hard synthetic resin material and wherein a stay of the headrest is partly supported in a holder having a head portion projecting from a top portion of a seat back of the seat, the top portion of the seat back being formed by a foam padding and a trim cover assembly overlaying the foam padding. The under garnish is provided with at least one protruding portion which protrudes downwardly therefrom. This at least one protruding portion is disposed at a location oriented towards a padding provided in the seat back. A degree to which the protruding portion protrudes from the under garnish is greater than a height of the head portion of the holder.

摘要: To provide a seat with ventilative property, which can eliminate or minimize the possibility of its being permanently deformed and settled into an unrecoverable deformed state. In the seat with ventilative property, left and right three-dimensional network cushion elements are provided in a forwardly-facing region of a seat cushion of the seat, in a manner independent of each other, such that the left and right three-dimensional network cushion elements are respectively situated at: one location on which a left thigh portion of a seat occupant is to be contacted; and the other location on which a right thigh portion of the seat occupant is to be contacted. This arrangement can almost completely prevent a direct application of a weight of the seat occupant to the two three-dimensional network cushion elements. Therefore, the present invention has the effect that a permanent downward settling of the seat cushion SC can be prevented, so that a short life of the seat due to such permanent settling may be substantially avoided.
