Abstract:
The combination of a headwear piece and at least one holding element. The headwear piece has a front and rear and consists of a crown with a surface which is grippingly engageable with a wearer's head and a visor projecting in a forward direction away from the crown. The visor has a relaxed state, wherein the visor has a first width dimension taken transversely to a fore-and-aft line, and a deformed state. With the visor in the deformed state, the visor has a second width dimension that is less than the first width dimension. The at least one holding element maintains the visor in the deformed state in which the visor has the second width dimension.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a cap having a foldable visor is provided, the cap comprising a visor core and cloth fixed to a upper surface and a lower surface of the visor core, the visor located in a wearer's forehead portion when the wearer wears the cap, wherein said visor core is divided into a plurality of pieces and is foldable about the dividing portions of the visor core, and wherein each cloth with sizes of said divided pieces of said visor core is fixed to one surfaces of the upper and lower surfaces of said divided pieces of said visor core, and a cloth with a total size of said divided pieces of said visor core in a state that said divided pieces of said visor core are adjacent to each other is fixed to the other surfaces of the upper and lower surfaces of said divided pieces of said visor core, so that a gap is formed between said divided pieces of said visor core and said cloth with a total size of said divided pieces of said visor core.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hat which can be made of multiple pieces or one integral piece of soft material sewed into a hat body having a crown portion and a brim portion. An elastic band is sewed onto and along a lower inner periphery of the crown portion of the hat body in specially patterned stitches to replace the lining band and decorative hat band usually used on a conventional hat. The hat can be folded without becoming deformed. The elastic band provides the hat with adjustable size and tightness to suit to different head shapes and sizes.
Abstract:
A hat having elongated support members extending from the exterior of the crown of the hat, for supporting the hat upon the head of the wearer, to prevent the hat from causing any undue adverse affect to the wearer's hair style. An alternative embodiment of the hat further includes a casing having a framing that is either attached to the crown or a brim, which framing may be twisted to collapse the hat into a small compact size and shape. Another alternative embodiment of the hat further includes a layer of material for reducing the ability of the crown of the hat to become wrinkled after the hat is un-collapsed.
Abstract:
A visored cap-type protective helmet for a bicyclist or the like is formed of a spherical fabric head shell defined by an outer fabric body and a matching spherical inner lining. Circumferentially spaced, generally radial fold lines join the outer fabric body to the inner lining and formed circumferentially adjacent, separate, sector shaped, arcuate pockets. Soft protective foam plastic pads sized to and of correspondingly sector shape fill the pockets. A visor integrated to the head shell at a circumferential bottom edge projects outwardly at the front of the helmet. A latching strip having one end fixedly mounted to a pocket at the front of the unit detachably fastens to a pocket at the rear of the head shell to permit the unit to be employed as a pouch for carrying articles and permitting the visor, when folded in, to be captured within the same pocket. A chin strap system is carried by the head shell and additionally an adjustable length shoulder or belt strap for carrying the unit when used as a pouch about the waist of the user or over the shoulder of the wearer. The adjustable length shoulder or belt strap may be carried by the head shell within grooves formed by transversely aligned fold lines between adjacent pockets when not used as a shoulder strap or belt strap.
Abstract:
This invention is a head with a kerchief portion, a forefront portion and a billed portion. The kerchief portion is attached to the forefront portion and the billed portion is attached to the forefront portion along a weakened fold line. Both the forefront portion and the billed portion each include a reenforced central panel and a pair of reenforced side panels connected thereto by weakened fold lines. When worn, the present invention looks like a baseball cap with a kerchief attached. When the bill portion is folded juxtaposed to the forefront portion and the respective side portions are folded back on the central portions, the kerchief can be wrapped thereabout to form a compact folded headwear that can be stored in a small purse, pocket or the like when not in use.
Abstract:
A paper hat is formed from stiffly flexible paper-like material such as kraft with a rectangular top panel forming a crown, and four planar side panels and four planar side panels attached to the top panel along fold lines. The side panels have lower arcuate borders forming an oval, head-shaped opening toward the crown. Four arcuate panels flare from the side panels forming a brim with an ovate outer edge. One of the side panels has a transverse fold line parallel and intermediate the crown and the brim allowing the side panel to be folded flat. Additional fold lines along hinges joining the side panels and fold lines perpendicular to the crown allow the hat to be folded into a flat form with all panels in parallel planes.
Abstract:
A collapsable, cylindrical, fabric mesh headnet for protecting a wearer's head from insects. The headnet includes an integral hoop located at mid height of the mesh tube. It keeps the mesh fabric away from the wearer's face when the tube is in place over the wearers head. The hoop is collapsable for storage by twisting and folding to form a plurality of concentric loop rings and layers of mesh fabric to substantially reduce the size of the head covering during storage. A drawstring is provided on the bottom edge of the covering to keep insects from entering there.
Abstract:
A collapsible hat construction wherein the body and brim of the hat are capable of being folded to generally curved planar condition, and subsequently rolled to furled condition. The outer peripheral band of the hat is provided with an auxiliary strap selectively engaged with plural snap fastener components. In one condition of engagement, the strap lies upon the band to conform to the outer surface thereof. In a second condition it engages another snap fastener component to maintain the hat in furled condition.
Abstract:
An improved hat with a visor having at least one pre-formed fold line along which the visor can be folded into a compact configuration for storing in a pocket or the like, without permanently distorting the visor.
