摘要： The present invention is a compound motorized lift device facilitating the uninterrupted and nearly noiseless movement of a low-profile television. The invention is comprised of a base unit, an intermediate unit, and a support unit slidably disposed in a telescoping fashion in the described order. A pair of linearly extensible slides are fastened between base and intermediate units and between intermediate and support units. The intermediate unit is extended and retracted with respect to the base unit in a linear fashion via a motor driven screw. The support unit is extended and retracted in a linear fashion via a cable-pulley arrangement that couples motion by the intermediate unit in a likewise direction to the support unit.

摘要： The present invention is a sub-cabinet readily insertable and removable from a larger decorative cabinet. The invention is comprised of a box-like structure having at least three panels perpendicularly disposed with respect to a floor panel and attached thereto, a lift vertically disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto, and a control module disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto. The control module receives commands from a limit switch so as to stop the lift motion when fully retracted or extended. Furthermore, the control module regulates electrical power to a display device fastened to the lift based upon the direction of travel of the support unit. The control module receives function commands from either a wireless remote or a switch. An alternate embodiment of the present invention further comprises a safety strip attached about an edge along one or more panels adjacent to a movable lid hinged to a decorative cabinet. The safety strip communicates with the control module so as to reverse the direction of the lift when contacted. Another embodiment of the present invention further comprises one or more storage areas within the box-like structure.

According to a preferred embodiment, the furniture assembly is a modular assembly and includes a top module detachably fixed to a base module. The mounting panel can be moved between an upper position, where it at least partially covers the top module, and a lower position, where it at least partially covers the base module. The assembly includes a wiring harness fixed to the back of the screen for inputting video signals to the display screen from a number of electronic sources such as a TV antenna, a VCR, a DVD player, and a computer. The harness is movable through a space between the front and the rear of the base under the action of a retracting mechanism which keeps the harness taut as the panel is raised and lowered.

It is of knockdown construction for economy of storage and transport. The holder includes: a flat base that fits underneath the television set or video monitor, vertical member means for vertical adjustability, and a horizontal platform located above the television set or video monitor, upon which at least one item is held. Each vertical member means includes a lower piece and an upper piece. Vertical adjustment may be achieved by a telescoping action of each lower piece with its respective upper piece, or by the use of at least one sleeve that is affixed to the lower (upper) piece and through which the upper (lower) piece engages with a close sliding fit. In other disclosed embodiments, a vertical assembly is comprised of at least one lower vertical element attached to a base, a horizontal element connected to the lower vertical element, and an upper vertical element connected to the horizontal element and extending upward from the horizontal element. The platform has at least one upper vertical-element-engaging means in which the platform vertically adjusts on the vertical element.
