    摘要: An indexable cutting insert has mutually perpendicular longitudinal, lateral and vertical axes. The insert includes two opposite cutting portions and a clamping portion therebetween, arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis. Each cutting portion includes a rake surface and front and side relief flanks, and a cutting edge formed at an intersection of the rake surface and front relief flank. A second width of the clamping portion is greater than the first width of the cutting edges. The clamping portion has two resilient beams and a flexibility aperture opening out to side abutment surfaces of the clamping portion, allowing elastic deformation of the insert along the vertical axis. The cutting insert may further include two opposite stopper portions, each formed on a respective insert end surfaces, each stopper portion forming a step in the respective insert end surface. A cutting tool clamps one or more inserts at their clamping portions.

    摘要: A device for coupling two parts includes a first part having a cylindrical adapting journal and a radial flat surface which limits the adapting journal by the base thereof and being radially protruded, and a second part having a receiving sleeve with a cylindrical internal surface. A clamping device, during clamping, enables the adapting journal to be inserted into the receiving sleeve and to be pressed thereto between the flat surface and a front surface. In order to guarantee an exact centering of the parts with the aid of simple means, the inventive receiving sleeve is provided with a lower conical part diverging from the internal cylindrical surface towards the front surface and the adapting journal is provided with an elastically deformable centering ring which is arranged at the level of the base and is provided with an external conical part complementary to the lower conical part.

During and after assembly, the elastic engagement pieces elastically abut at least an inner surface of a tapered hole in a main shaft joined to the tool holder and deform slightly in a radial direction. The elastic engagement pieces provide uniform engagement force with the main shaft over a broad surface area. An elastic flange provides additional elastic engagement and easy separation from the main shaft. Together, the elastic engagement pieces and elastic flange reliably engage and securely attach the main shaft to the tool holder while aiding disengagement.

    摘要: A tool coupling for connecting a tool head to a tool holder to secure the tool head against rotation and provide axial prestress. The tool head, which serves as a cutting tool, includes a shank having at least a portion which is conically configured, a threaded bore, and an annular contact collar. The tool holder includes a sleeve-shaped receiving bore corresponding to the shank, at least a portion of the receiving bore being conically configured, a tightening screw, and an annular contact face. An additional bore in the shank of the tool head ensures a prestress between the shank and the tool carrier including the receiving bore, and such prestress is not entirely relieved even if lateral forces act on the tool head. This keeps the tool head from vibrating in the receiving bore.
