摘要： An inflatable docking station for a Mars roving vehicle (Mars rover) provides a recharging station as well as a storage facility for the Mars rover during adverse environmental conditions. The docking station/garage allows for extended operational life for the Mars Rover, allows for the Mars rover to operate at the polar regions of Mars, where extreme cold conditions restrict rover operation, and provides for a warmer habitat for the Mars rover. Conventional planetary roving vehicles only be deployed from the warmer equator region of the planet surface. However, these roving vehicles may never explore the polar regions because the roving vehicle may not have enough stored power. The docking station/garage provides a remote outpost for, among other things, storing and recharging the Mars Rover to allow it to reach more remote areas.

摘要： The disclosure describes a portable garage with a ballast-containing base. The garage is assembled at a site without physical attachment thereto and disassembled for erection at another site. Each elongated base segment extending along the sidewall of the garage has a cavity therein for receiving ballast, which, after erection of the garage, is filled with water, sand or gravel. The weight thereof stabilizes the structure. The bases have extensions which interlock and overlie connector portions. Apertures through the connectors house support members and, upon the sidewall being assembled, these columns are vertically disposed. Between support members a prefabricated roof is attached. The ballast-container is a lightweight, molded plastic construct of high-impact, UV resistant material. The base is equipped with suitable inlet and outlet ports for the addition and removal of ballast.

Because the frame is secured to the outsides of the wheels rather than beneath the wheels, the frame can be easily attached to the automobile after the automobile is parked. Each of the canopy support sections includes a pair of upper transverse support members and two pairs of side support members. 摘要： An attachment mechanism for grasping an object such as an automobile tire. The attachment mechanism includes a number of clamp members pivotally connected to an inner plate. The clamp members fit around and grasp the object, and are adjustable to fit around objects of different sizes. The attachment member may be used, for example, as a locking mechanism for an automobile attachment such as a portable cover. The attachment mechanism locks onto the tires without any support from the ground. The frame for the automobile attachment can then be coupled to the attachment mechanisms, which provide the necessary support for the cover.

摘要： This invention relates generally to a portable shelter for an automobile which is lightweight and easily assembled. The invention utilizes base plates which are adjustably placed under the wheels of the sheltered vehicle for securely anchoring the shelter structure. Independently adjustable vertical support bars are attached to the base plates and support a canopy. Additionally, cross-braces which are adjustable in height and adjustable in length are positioned at tire height to that the vertical support bars of the structure can be securely braced against the vehicle tires. This provides superior lateral support against meteorological conditions without the need for external stakes or guide wires, and without contacting or damaging the body of the vehicle.
